As long as the big look is intentional then it’s a good thing. Unfortunately, I’ll never be accused of being faster than I look.
@Koestrizer that was the worst burn since being told I looked “trim” a few years ago. This particular one I’m chalking up to absurdly low expectations on his part though.
@Cyrrex your support is always appreciated mate.
@Frank_C My mindset is changing pretty well this year on two fronts actually. Firstly, I’m getting better at “falling back” to a position that genuinely seems to maintain rather than fall way, way back. My daily habits are pretty set so that if I “fall off the wagon”, I don’t fall very far. And that’s huge for me. Secondly, I’m actually wanting to train in a more balanced way rather than doing it because I have to. Believe it or not, I’ve actually wanted to go running or hop on a bike or elliptical or grab my Sandbag more than I’ve wanted to squat or deadlift these last few weeks.
@T3hPwnisher I used to play prop/number 8. Then the other lads all got their growth spurts too and I slowly ended up drifting out to the wing. Far more fun for me.
With out getting all political - the SNP and Mrs Krankie do your health care.
LOL this depends what era of prop you are talking about. The current props are all monsters that move well with lots of muscle. Go back to the 80’s 90’s and they were all overweight with massive power bellies but strong and hard as nails. I often think of rugby positions that the closer you get to the front of the pack the bigger and stronger but also the fatter you get. I would put you as an outside centre like Mike Tindall

Bullcrap aside, you are doing some good work lately.
Now back to me role as your internet nemesis.
Appreciated mate. I’ll just pretend I saw this 2 weeks ago when it was more true.
Injuries happen. It is nature’s way of telling you to stay humble.
I thought that was you?
I said it was NATURE’S way. I am something wholly outside of nature.
Work for today:
Press:
5 x 40kg
5 x 50kg
3 x 55kg
1 x 60kg
5 x 60kg
3 x 8 @ 50kg
Notes:
- Quick 20mins session before work. This hurt quite a lot to be honest. Knee is really sore this time in the morning. Very painful with any weight on it.
You’re not worried that you will prolong the recovery process by doing that?
Decent pressing mate. 80 overhead for you soon?
Good press.
@doomyguy Yep. Will be avoiding non-seated pressing for a while longer, I think. Unfortunately keeping weight off it is unavoidable with work and kids
@simo74 I doubt it, to be honest. By year end maybe. I think I probably still top out about 70kg right now (with good health)
@jdm135 thanks man. Once I start putting some meat back on these bones, it should start moving up again.
Everything ok mate ?
Just a pain in my knee. I start every day hobbling, and as I warm up, the pain mostly goes. Could probably press with no issues later in the day.
You doing anything for the knee? Did you have an accident or just wake up sore one day?
Slowly got worse and worse after that silly Litvinov thing I did a few weeks back. It’s getting better, but really slowly. I’ve been doing hamstring curls as regularly as possible to try and flush blood in there, but its slow progress.
T-ransformation week thing: 193.2lbs. Honestly, starting to worry my scake is broken because I’ve been far from disciplined this week with food and training has been minimal.
Motivation to train is definitely coming back. Aim for this week is to do a press day tomorrow, then hopefully a fairly light squat day on Tuesday. Bench Day Thursday, then cardio Wednesday and Saturday. All of that is subject to change, depending on how my knee copes with the increased activity.
Work for today:
Press:
5 x 40kg
5 x 50kg
1 x 60kg
3 x 60kg
5 x 60kg
3 x 8 @ 50kg
Narrow, neutral grip pulldown: some
Baby log clean and push press: lots
Crunch machine: some
Delt raise machine: some
Curls: some
Notes:
- Knee is still painful on standing presses, but not terrible. Will try squatting tomorrow but have a back up plan, in case.
- Kids are off again today so limited on time. I will be catching up on logs and general pisstaking soon.
