Nice PR with reps in reserve and solid work afterward - bodes well for the goal!

66 days to go!

Sssshhh it’s still a very, very big ask.

E1RM still thinks I’m at 70kg (albeit based off non maximal sets) so 1kg gain a week? Seems like an ask.

Nice job on the rep PR.

And now stop leaving reps in the tank.

But I like things that work.

Shoulders recover super quick. They can take it when you push it.

I don’t doubt you, but this is working.

I can see it’s working. Keep it up. And also do AMRAP.

Facetious answers aside, the reason I don’t often go for true AMRAP is that one day I will have a bad day. Frequently actually. I still like being able to set PRs even on shitty days.

Well, if we are going to be all honest with our feelings and stuff, AMRAP in this program creates a lot of anxiety. Personally, that helps me. But it can mess with your head a little.

My real advice here is probably more like ā€˜don’t leave too much in the tank’. After all, if you want to hit 80, it is going to cost you something.

I don’t have that worry on presses. What’s the worst that can happen? A true AMRAP on deads or squats on the other hand, that’s far more worrying.

His natty card!

Kidding of course, you’ll smash it, you made it a crazy ambitious goal to push yourself, it’s working keep after it!

Anxiety of expectations. Doesn’t matter the lift. Always aware of what you did last time at that weight, and worried about improving on it every single time. Or knowing you are moving up to the next weight and knowing what your expected reps would be and doing anything you can to exceed it. It is dynamite when it works.
