Held like this
Rather than this
@T3hPwnisher @Cyrrex, I am watching and reading, I just have very little to contribute other than what I do, which has fairly limited value here.
I may film a set or two at some point, if I ever press in the light.
We are probably down a rabbit hole anyway. I think the original point was to avoid gripping so wide that your elbows are in the wrong position. I suspect once you get that part down, it is just a matter of finding your own sweet spot.
Interesting discussion, I have ascertained that I am a floater!
In more ways than one, my man.
No miss interpretation here.
This. It puts the weight through a joint instead of soft tissue. Itās efficient.
To throw a wrench in things, check out an elite lifters clean and jerk. Sub 6ā people have their hands at the rings.
But I know thatās because theyāre only doing the lockout with their upper body so that puts them in the best position for that and decreases the ROM.
Yeah. The entire point of a jerk or a push press is to eliminate as much of the ROM as possible. They are literally trying to throw them selves under the bar in lockout position. So none of the same rules really apply for technique, methinks.
Work for today:
Giant set (5 rounds):
5 pull ups
10 press (40kg)
15 rows (40kg)
Just a quick, unplanned session because I could, and I really want this 80kg press. This was over FSL weight, but only because I couldnāt bring myself to go lower than 40kg. Iād feel like a little girly girl if I didnāt have at least a 10 plate each side.
Yes, this is BBB, you donāt need to go on about it.
Edit: sets of 5 pull ups are now so easy itās silly. Amazing the improvements that getting lighter, getting stronger and starting to cheat the ROM can bring #blessed
I think we should use the next 50 posts or so discussing all the ins and outs, the ups and downs, the pros and cons and just basically all revel in the fact that you just did a BBB session. I mean, how did it make you feel about yourself? Would you recommend BBB to a friend? Weād like to once again thank you for using BBB, and we hope to see you next time.
Iād like to ignore the BBB and say that anything less than a 20 either side should make you feel like a girly girl!
Good on you for chasing hard after the goal!
I had to fight the urge to bump my weights today. 130 lbs is so frustrating to load when I could just throw on a plate and have 135. I also had to load 180 instead of 185ā¦
It may have been boring, but do you feel big?
ā¦his wife asked, feeling a bit less than satisfied.
Although, idk if his wife would care how he feels. She wants him to BE big
Iād like to cancel my free trial of BBB, who would I speak to?
Work in progress man, work in progress. Damn, weāre really getting in the low blows tonight.
I do this for every set apart from the top set. I donāt even bother noting what the first two work sets are supposed to be, I just do the right number of reps at an appropriate warm up weight. Or in this case, no warm up, because its 40kg.
Jokes on you, weāre not married.
She absolutely doesnāt, she hates the idea of big muscular guys. Why am I lifting again?
Work in progress man, work in progress. Damn, weāre really getting in the low blows tonight.

Always a work in progress and good to see the work getting done, chase that goal! Haha sorry for the low blow - take it as motivation!
Absolutely not the right type of woman for a T-man, better move on, dude.
(kidding)
CLose enough lol. Iām prescribed like 2.5kg off a multiple of 10 or 5 often like 187.5 and almost always bump it to a nice round number. Training effect is about the same on the big lifts
No worries man, Iām pretty hard to offend.
2 kids later, I guess sheās stuck with me.
