10 Miles Back Again

Ideally, if I could find something less sucky to improve my core and brace, that would be awesome.

Zercher?

Deadbugs?

Dead bugs, maybe. Literally never tried them, but Dan John seems to like them.

Zerchers: I thought I said less sucky.

I would have written it as 3x(5x1-20sec rests)- 120kg :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

They are less sucky to me!

Agree to disagree. I found that elbow pain limited me more than my legs or even back, which really pissed me off

Did you try sleeves?

I wouldn’t use Zerchers for those things anyway. My weak point is my core/brace, so that’s what my supplemental exercises need to target.

Just because I have them saved on my phone, doesn’t mean I’ve read them.

But yeah, I kinda knew that, I was just going on the famous snake oil hunt to avoid doing the stuff I hate. It’s funny how you’re always weakest at the stuff you avoid doing, huh?

In training I rarely cater to my strengths. I do other dumb shit to stymie my progress instead, but I don’t do that mistake

I had been trying to make an effort to correct that, but I’m definitely slipping back to old ways again.

Good thing you caught it now. Now program in some shit you hate.

Continous ramp from zercher, to front squat, to back squat has kept me squatting heavy (ego) while fixing weaknesses.

But I don’t wanna. Don’t make me do it.

No, just a different way to do them. I was thinking of hanging plates from a dip belt but I think I need to stand on something.

You got it. Doesn’t have to be super big, but some sort of height is good.

What would Dan John have you do?

To be fair, Dan John isn’t really big on sets and reps or weak points or whatever. But i get your point.
