I go by Donny. I was in the Army from 2003-2012 before being medically discharged. I hadn't worked out since leaving the military and it took it's toll on me. I became fat, weak and lazy. I knew I was out of shape, but my wake up call before starting the 5/3/1 program was a fire alarm going off at work and I needed to get up 7 flights of stairs to evacuate people in the Hotel. I made it to the second floor before my knees started hurting to the point that I couldn't move up another set of steps and had to tell my Lead (I'm a 3rd Shift Security Supervisor for a Casino) to go ahead and head on up. I am currently 33 and he is 15 years my senior and made it better than I did. After that, I started the 5/3/1 program at the end of October 2016. It has been a long time since I've felt the great and it is much easier for me to move around that it used to be. Thank you guys for allowing me to be a part of this group and I hope to learn and grow more as I continue this program.
