at a time when young men are increasingly beta foreveralones, zyzz persuaded people to take life, girls, etc. a little less seriously.

Yet people take him extremely seriously. “Zyzz” was a public persona. The guy behind him was a savvy businessman who came up with a product he could market to the masses - a “real life troll”. The product just happened to be him. He is no more “Zyzz” than Sasha Baron Cohen is Borat or Ali G.
You are mourning the death of the character, not the person who died. Wake up people.
While there is some truth to this statement, the simple fact is that if Cohen died tomorrow, we would remember him fondly as the characters he played. Our memories of actors, musicians, etc. are of their creative production, not of who they were at home as we are obviously not privy to that.
Furthermore, part of the beauty of it all was the tension between Aziz Sergeyevich and the idealized version of himself, zyzz.
In all, your point is not without merit, but you’re missing the point IMO.

What was the purpose behind Zyzz’s “fly on the wall” Youtube vids then, if we weren’t privy to who he was at home? That’s right - it was a performance.
Please explain the Jekyll and Hyde-like struggle betwixt Aziz and Zyzz.

I mean, WTF??!! I can give credit where credit is due, OK the guy was ripped. Thats about it. Was he some kind of great humanitarian or something?? Did he have great accomplishments?? Or is every one obsessed with him because he had abs?? I know nothing of this guy and had never heard of him before he died, now he’s all over the place. I’ll admit, the guy is in great shape, but there is nothing extraordinary about his physique that merits all this praise. He has the body of any male fitness model and really not even as good as most male fitness models. If I’m missing something here tell me. Or is everyone just that starved for heros???
Nope…it sounds like you got it about right.
It’s for the same people ride your nuts on this website (or antagonize you). You were once retardedly skinny, now you’re not. The only difference between you two (personality aside) is that he got more exposure due to:
The nature of 4chan.
His chosen career path (business instead of Dentistry).
It’s fairly plain to see that the early twenty somethings of today are by far the worst hit by the general “pussification” of the male gender. By putting a persona like the Zyzz persona into the public sphere (not giving a fuck), and especially on 4chan - the underbelly of the internet, and home to the most beta of males - he was practically guaranteed to reach the status he has now.

Are you talking to me or Prof X??? Because I was actually a fat ass and I don’t know what the fuck 4chan is.
Someone starts a tribute thread to someone and people come on in shitting on the thread… nice.
This thread was to remember someone who people cared about. If you don’t give a flying fuck about Zyzz then why are you clicking on the thread on the first place? THERE IS NO REASON TO CLICK ON A THREAD ABOUT A SUBJECT YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT… unless of course its to get you’re super important the world has to hear me opinion out
Zyzz was popular because as stated before he was a scrawwny nerd and turned into a fitness model and completely turned his life around.

First part Prof. X, second part was more generalized. And if you don’t know what 4chan is, you are one of the few untainted ones.

They guy sold steroids to teenagers. Here in Australia that is illegal and makes him a drug dealer. The fact that they were teens makes him a total douche bag.
No, I don’t have a “gay catamite underwear model” physique and don’t want one. And no, you won’t get me posting pics on some of these gay homo ab stroking threads. I prefer to let my girlfriend do all the stroking that is necessary. You might understand if you ever get one.
Here’s a long correspondence of Q&A with him if you’d like to know more about who he actually is instead of basing your opinion solely on preconceived notions.
