Young with Low T but No Symptoms

He’s an andrologist, and from what I read is well renowned.

Should I take less until my next appt when I can talk to him about why the dosage is so high? Or should I just take the prescribed dose until then?

Also the prescription is for 50kui, so I’ll be wasting a lot of money if I just take less and don’t get him to write down the prescription. Unless I can take it after the expiration date, 2 months. They said not to because it goes bad but is that the truth?

HCG lasts about 80 days refrigerated with BAC water.

Doesn’t matter if he’s well renowned. 1.500 IU 3x a week is insane and can damage your leydig cells long term.

50,000 IU vial. I don’t know what to tell you there, discuss with the doc.

Now I’m confused on what to do. Talked with one of the doctoro’s fellows and he said that 1.5kiu is on the lower end of their dosing for T replacement purposes, and that there is no worry about desensitization and little worry about sky rocketing e2 level, especially since my is low to start.

He’s not just some quack doc either; he is the chief of male reproductive medicine at Baylor College of Medicine - http://www.larrylipshultz.com/index.html - and he has done a ton of related studies.

Paging Doctor Larry LipShits… Doctor Larry Lipshits.

Mike Hunt on the line for you.

It’s been a while since I updated, so thought it might be a good idea. I decided to try the doc’s dosage and went with HCG 1.5k iu 3x/wk. I got BW done after being on that protocol for 4-5 weeks and these were the results:

Testosterone 820 348-1197 ng/dL
FT 25.8 9.3-26.5 pg/mL
Estradiol 113.0 7.6-42.6 pg/mL

So obviously, the T results are awesome and confirm that I’m secondary but the E2 is obviously not good. I don’t have any symptoms of gyno at all, but from what I read high E2 levels aren’t good regardless.

I figured I’d try lowering the dosage to 500iu 3x/wk to see what happens. I did this protocol for 3 weeks, and these were the results:
T 442 348-1197 ng/dL
Free Testosterone 12.1 9.3-26.5 pg/mL
Estradiol 51.1 7.6-42.6

These results are disappointing to say the least - my E2 is down but still high, while my T levels are barely above where I started.

I got the doc to prescribe anastrazole, which I just started taking a few days ago at .5 mg EOD. It seems I’m not responding to the lower dosage, so the question is do I try 1k iu 3x/week or just go back to the 1.5iu and start adjusting the AI to get E2 down.
