Young-ish and Very Active; I Think I'm Low

I’ve dropped down to 25mg/day and am waiting on some arimidex from a friend. Feel much better than at 50mg/day.

Now I’m feeling “blah” again. Sports performance still “blah.” Libido is okay (better than pre-Clomid) but not great. I wonder if there’s just a honeymoon period for Clomid dosing at each dose.

Thinking about DHEA supplementation. Anyone have thoughts?

Keep in mind that the half-life of clomid is 5-7 days. It will take a week or two for you to be at the new serum level from 25mgs/day.

I take 25mgs dhea / day. Does it work? No clue, I started taking all this stuff at once, so it’s hard to ascribe causality.

For your dose of clomid and your beginning point, your results with clomid are less than impressive. You may end up back on the larger dose.

Lowering the dose probably reduced your T. Really sucks that you can’t see your doctor for another two months. Can you talk to a nurse in the office? Sometimes it just takes a gift of food (bribery, FTW) and a smile and a nurse could get a script from the doctor for you…

Yeah.On paper, I thought the 170 free T was okay but the 518 total T is disappointing. I’ve heard of guys getting over 1,000 after beginning Clomid…I figured I’d be at least at 800 total with a starting point of mid-300s.

500 isn’t terrible, sounds like you were doing well, until the assumed E2 side effects hit…

Question for anyone reading:

Is there any potential for Clomid to affect HDL levels? This may be incredibly dumb. Here are some readings for HDL before and after I began 50mg/day Clomid:

January: 45 mg/dl
February: 37 mg/dl

Began Clomid February 26

March: No HDL, but total T at 518 and free T up to 170.5.

May: 27.2 mg/dl

18 points down from January, 10 from February. Lifestyle/diet nearly identical

4 months in.

Total T: 522
Free T: 170

LH: 3.5???
FSH: 4.0???

Good numbers. Free T is quite good.

Yeah, but I’m confused about the LH/FSH numbers.
Those seem really low for someone taking 50mg Clomid/day.

It could be these are older numbers the office just mixed up with the newer results.

Any estradiol numbers?

Nope, didn’t spring for those this time.
