Hey, jlesk.

I was looking at your website.

As everyone knows, jlesk favors the socialist equality party.

By supporting them, he feels above the fray. He’s an “educated” voter. When the “revolution” starts, everyone will turn to his disheveled ass.

The weak shall triumph!!!

jlesk, do you think that jim van auken will run again?

He ran such a strong and inspiring campaign in 2004.

For the rest of you, take a peek at jlesk’s pals:

JeffR

oh jeffrey, jeffrey, I think your quote “the weak shall triumph” speaks more of your pathetic weak attempt to insult me instead of rebutting the pic showing “Bulliani” with the Handgun Control Inc. crowd.

And no, I’m not a socialist, I’m a true conservative who loves this country and hasn’t drunk either the “Republican or Democrat Kool-Aid”, people like you who align themselves with a party and check their brains at the door are the example of Americans without political personality.

Conservative???

Why do you guys do that? If you line up with the dems and other kooks, why not call it as it is?

Just call yourself a lefty and get on with counseling?

I don’t know of any true Conservative who is as threatened by Fox News as you are.

Further, shall we tally up your posts and see which party you routinely support?

Shall we see, whose ideology you fit with?

You are a kook, but, you are also much more aligned with the dems than the Conservatives.

So spare us the “above the fray” crap and try some honesty.

Good luck,

JeffR

P.S. If you are absent for a while I’ll know that your brain short circuited. Honesty is like oxygen, it can be toxic to organisms that are unaccustomed to it.

lol, dude, come on, you’re smarter than that…
"Why do you guys do that? If you line up with the dems and other kooks, why not call it as it is?

I don’t line up with the Dems or Reps (if that’s what you meant by “kooks”) and I’m not a “lefty”, I’m a conservative, and since when a person has to be a Republican to be Conservative???

“I don’t know of any true Conservative who is as threatened by Fox News as you are.

Not threatened by Faux News at all, it’s just funny all the boot licking they do, just like CNN did with Slick Willy, and by the way Mr. Fox himself Ruppert Murdock is a strong financial supporter of Wicked Hillary.

I don’t support a party, aligning yourself with a party is stupid, since political parties often prostitute their ideals for votes.
To be honest, I voted for Bush on his first term, I mean come on, it was either him or “The sky is falling” Al Gore.

"You are a kook, but, you are also much more aligned with the dems than the Conservatives.

Again, you’re equating Republicans with Conservatives…You must’ve been “Hannitized” haven’t you…?? Or would you prefer to be called a “ditto head”???

For honesty, read the above.

And dude, there’s more to “If you’re not with us, you’re with the terrorists” ideology.

[/quote]

jlesk are you gdollars by chance?

Another “independent.”

“Above the fray.”

“A real thinker.”

blah blah blah de blah.

I tire of the same, lame notes.

I’ll ask in this thread, what candidate do YOU support?

Further, did you vote straight democrat in 2006?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your honest answer. However, part of me wishes you had responded with something easy to ignore.

I’m pretty busy.

With your answer I’m going to be forced to take you seriously now.

I never support not voting. Even if you write in a candidate.

However, I’d rather have a Conservative not vote then pull the democratic lever out of protest.

Since guys on this board have talked about ron paul, I’ve read many of his speeches.

I have to tell you that I fear his attitute would embolden an aggressive enemy.

He seems too isolationist for my tastes. As you can imagine, I’m not a big fan of ignore them and they will go away thinking. Further, his commentary on bill maher’s show about the Civil War and slavery was wrong on many levels.

gdollars is a guy who screams bloody murder that he’s an independent. However, the majority of his posts are lock stock and barrel dnc talking points. Further, by his own admission, he voted straight democratic in 2006 out of “protest.”

In short, he’s unbelievable.

If you are telling the truth about your beliefs, you may be more credible that I initially gave you credit for.

Ron Paul did say he would pull out of Iraq and switch gears to go back to hunting Osama.

People do remember Osama right?

I do think he might be a bit over-isolationalist, but I highly doubt that means he is going to bend over if American facilities / interests get attacked by a sovereign power.

Let’s see, Republicans got tossed out of both houses of Congress last November, in a time when the country is as politically polarized as it has ever been, with real independents being a tiny minority of actual voters. Seems like a lot of conservatives must have voted Democrat to make that happen.

You realize some people care more about ideology than winning elections, right? The evangelicals who will stay home if Rudy wins the nomination are one example.

An even better one is paleo-conservatives. Do you even know what that means Jeffry? They are old-school, often nativist, conservatives, people like Pat Buchanan or Paul Weyrich. They hate Bush more than almost any Democrat does, and they are most certainly not “leftists.” I’m not a paleo-con by any stretch, but I’m also not dumb/dishonest enough to toss everyone into one of two camps.

renny, I want you to listen to the candidates when they talk about hunting bin laden.

You’ll find that the majority of the things that are being proposed we are already doing.

The implication with some of these people is that if we pull out of Iraq, poof, we get bin laden.

As I’ve written 1,000,000 times, without violating the soverignity of Pakistan, it doesn’t matter if we have one trillion soldiers available.

Therefore, it’s hot air.

However, if we hear one of these guys (or hillary) talk about specifics regarding Pakistan, listen carefully.

I certainly will.

ron paul doesn’t understand that we cannot afford to be attacked.

The next one will probably be much worse.

Remember what the first one did to the airlines?

Imagine a larger attack on something even more vital.

We can’t be reactionary any longer.

It’s too dangerous.

We must be pro-active

This is what the entire argument has been since 9/11. Do we cut the branches/trunk or do we go to the root?

Where are the roots? How far do we go?

We are replacing a bad idea with a better one.

We kill the diseased tree and plant a stronger one.

It’s so much more complicated than, “Pull out. It will all get better.”

Let me clear something up that you seem to not understand: If you voted straight democrat you are neither independent or Conservative.

Period.

The only way you retain either tag is if the party you voted for was a viable alternative, clearly better than the Republicans.

No one (not even lumpy, bradley, or petey) believed or believes that the democrats would or have been an improvement.

They are just as big a bunch of temper- tantrum laden, ineffectual, punks as we all thought they would be.

Therefore, I soundly reject your premise that any true Conservatives (or independents) voted straight democratic.

They either didn’t vote (perhaps jlesk is an example), held their nose and voted Republican, or wrote someone in.

A Conservative would have been fully aware that handing the keys to the current crop of democrats would be a mistake of even larger proportions than reelecting the leadership of the Republican Congress.

In short, no way, gdol.

JeffR

Jlesk stated: “Refused to vote in 2006.”

This says it all. You mean with all your goddamned pissing and moaning and stupid fucking conspiracy theories that you spam the board with, you didn’t even bother to vote in 2006? You don’t have the right to waste our time with your carping. YOU DON’T EVEN VOTE!!!

Let me guess: “None of the candidates exactly believed what I did, so I’m taking my ball and going home”. Boo hoo you fucking crybaby. How’d that work out for you?

How dare you come onto here and fill the boards with your views on everything political, yet you can’t even be bothered to go check your name on a ballot?

p.s. George Bush got elected again, thanks in part to your inactivity.

You don’t have to read my posts.

That’s my right as an american, any problem with that?

I can come to these board and post as much as I want, and voting is a priviledge, not an obligation, if you can’t handle that maybe you’d like to move to China or Cuba.

Read the above.

No, I didn’t think the Democrats, with occasional exceptions like Jim Webb, were a better alternative than the Republicans. I thought the Republicans needed to be taught a lesson at the polls after betraying their principles.

If you can’t even understand the concept of “toss the bums out” after the Republicans fatally mismanaged Iraq and jacked up discretionary spending higher than it had been under LBJ, then you’re the definition of a partisan hack. You don’t have to agree with voting Democrat to punish the GOP, but if you can’t even understand it, you really are cut off from reality.
