And…We’re off!
I am also going to do the DHEA every night as well and see how I respond to it. I see research with both good and bad reviews but my level is low so may as well give it a shot
Day 1 Feelings
Have a bit of anxiety and cloudy head. The only way I can explain it is like having one of those “Tired Headaches” if that make sense. I figure my body has no idea whats going on right now with the changes I have made in the last 24 hours. Other than that I feel pretty good
Don’t forget to drink water. That’s often the cause of the headaches.
I will definitely up the water intake, I generally drink quite a bit but it maybe more important while getting acclimated now. Thank you
Day 2
I have upped my magnesium yesterday and today to combat the anxiety feelings. I woke up this morning feeling very clear mentally and with more energy than normal. coincidence? possibly but I felt better than I can remember.
Had a Solid workout tonight and my next pin is Sunday morning
Anxiety I had yesterday was the worst I have had in a few years
Did my second pin this morning and have felt good all day so far, had a good workout and felt strong.
Took magnesium this AM and also early afternoon.
I went about a hands length down from belt line and went IM on to my quad. See how that feels my first was lower and hurt for 2.5 days after.
I think that defy is on point with TRT here. Once your natural production shuts down, with your high SHBG you’re going to probably need to be in the 900-1000 (maybe higher)Total T range to get Free T in a good place. That being the case, your probably going to notice a pretty god crash around week 4 when those production T levels cease. Don’t let it freak you out man and ride it out. You will stabilize on the exogenous T after about 6-8 weeks. 160mg may be a little high so keep an eye out for signs of E2 creeping up but don’t jump the gun on AIs. Your current protocol is pretty good so you may not have E2 issues.
SHBG will increase with age and it sounds like you’re already doing everything you can to lower it with supplements. I would dial the diet in a little more and try to eat at more regular intervals.
How’s your sleep?
If you are flexible enough, or have a significant other to help you out, you might consider putting glutes in your pinning rotation. Alternating thighs didn’t bother me at all until around the 5th week. A week is just not quite long enough of a layoff period for one site so they will start getting sorer for longer. If you add glutes or any other two sites (alternating shoulders), pinning twice a week will give you a two week layoff on each site. I’ve had a much better experience with the 4-site method.
Thank you very much for the encouraging post, I like to think I am on the right path and have been feeling good so far and realize I am only 5 days in. I am anxious to see what the coming weeks will bring .
My sleep is good minus the first night after my first pin I was quite anxious and didnt sleep well. I take a melatonin and magnesium before going to bed
So far I am having zero pain with my injection from yesterday, so I think upper quad will be a better spot than the mid more muscular area. I am going to incorporate more areas and not sure if my 1/2" needle would be long enough for a glute injection?
Thanks
What form of magnesium?
I believe magnesium glycinate may be great for that. I take 200 mg at night and can tell a difference.
Yeah I recently heard a doc on a podcast talking about glycinate being the best form for mag supplementation.
I have been taking Citrate but will have some Glycinate in from Amazon tomorrow as I have read the same thing and was researching it after my bout with anxiety last week. I look forward to trying it out, mine are 400mg so may have to cut them in half
Was it the TOT Podcast? I think I heard the same one
Yeah dude. I forget which doc…he has so many good ones on.
The KAL brand i use. It’s 200 mg per tablet. Others I think are less mg per tablet.
I have the KAL 400mg in my Amazon cart. I wonder if thats too much. I dont need to start waking up to diarrhea.
You can just take 1 tab. It’s 400 if you take 2. Unless they make a huge tab with 400.
Glycinate should not really affect bowels.
Just checked. That’s the one I take KAL 400 that’s per two tablets.
If u only take one at night it will last half a year
KAL Magnesium Glycinate 400 | Vegan, Chelated, Non-GMO, Soy, Dairy, and Gluten Free | 90 Servings, 180 Tablets
Physio suggested 400 at night for the heart paps I had. But 200 ok usually for me. Daily recommendated amount is 400. But I get rest from food. My multi has 110. But that’s the oxide form. So am getting 310mg from supps
These are the same I ordered and I have read that you (Shouldn’t) have issues with this particular kind with having diarrhea
