[Hatebreed, some Bury Your Dead and SOD, then I sneak in a little Godsmack towards the end when I’m winding down. Every now and then I’ll mix in some classic Agnostic Front or Warzone.
SOD baby! I was at their final concert way back senior year of high school. Ah memories…
You should try and find the live CD of that show. Very good

pssh, so you guys think there would be anyone against me playing black dahlia murder in my gyms cd player?
I snuck an Arch Enemy cd into my school gym’s cd player while the work study kid wasn’t looking. It lasted for about 3 minutes before people started complaining. Sorry, but some of us can’t deadlift with the fucking Black Eyed Peas playing. Although, Fergie does make my pants tight.
That fucking song I’m in love with a stripper and my humps. so fucking mad, must kill gym owner and the guy in the corner rocking out to it. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
My gym usually has rock of some sort playing, but every now and again one of the girls will change it to some other channel, like the day I heard…the Spice Girls. I almost dropped some weights. It was a sad day. Haven’t heard “My Humps” yet, thank the gods, but we’ll see.
boo that. they don’t play music in my gym but the muted tv’s hanging from the ceiling everywhere have so many people distracted you have to walk an obstacle course to get around the herd of people just standing and watching.
most music i hear comes from cell phone mp3 players with no head phones plugged in. its rap all the time so I know it could be worse, but you get tired of listening to the same 2 Project Pat songs…
Maybe I am showing my age, but I burned a CD and then titled it “…and Let God Sort 'Em Out” to listen to in my garage.
Tracks include:
MonsterMagnet: Unbroken, See You in Hell, Powertrip
Twisted Sister: You’re Gonna Burn in Hell.
Metallica: Frantic, St. Anger
Motley Crue: Shout at the Devil
Guns N Roses: Used to Love Her, Sympathy for the Devil.

Except for Megadeth. Dave Mustaine is a pussy.
And this affects the quality of his music how?
The recent Megadeth remixes sound like Grover from Sesame Street is doing backup vocals. Maybe it’s bacause Dave is STILL pissed about getting kicked out of Metallica. Dave’s old stuff rocks.
My oldest son and I both play guitar, I plan to do some recordings with his metal band for my mp3 in case I have to work out at the local gym. Last time I was there, the music ranged from decent rock to the aforementioned Barry Manilow, Afternoon F*$&% Delight, and other assorted crap, most likely picked out by the guy who does bicep curls on the squat rack, followed by quarter squats with 80 pounds so he doesn’t bruise his knees for tennis. ARRGGG.

worst ever… Albatross, by Fleetwood Mac
Albatross by CoC, a fine choice, however.
Now, it wasn’t music, but I will say the worst thing I’ve ever, EVER listened to in the gym is Regis Philbin followed by The View. I’m normally a 400+ deadlift but I couldn’t break 315 OFF THE RACK with that shit.
Fuckin gym I was training in last year played shit like Fall Out Boy, Newfound Glory whiny fuckin shit. I asked them to put something better one, and they put Korn on. Fuckin Korn sucks ass.
Astoundingly next time they played Slayer, Seasons in the Abyss and Motorhead Orgasmamtron then ICE T, Home Invasion. Which was nice.
Soak Up The Sun by Sheryl Crow is a fucking mainstay on the dumbass NYSC radio network. I asked them how anybody could possibly workout to that shit. They laughed and I didnt get a reply :-\
I too feel the pain, I have no good gyms in my area. Im a member of Worlds gym which is ok because in the free weight section they play rock which is ok…but it is 45 minutes away.
My mp3 player broke yesturday, so today Im at my local “fitness center” with no mp3 player so Im forced to listen to music like “paved paradice and put up a parking lot” makes me ill…But what was even worse is without my headphones I can here the people talk and their conversations made me want to puke…the women on the thigh masters blabbing about he said she said bullshit, and listening to the herman doing smith machine squats telling his partner how much of a badass pump he gets from doing machine curls…needless to say I went to bestbuy after that and got a new mp3 player.
