Unsurprising. Where did you here this? Link?

North Korea played very fucking hard. First half, they were really good. They really pushed this. Hopefully they can nail Portugal like this. They went all out.

Also, how awesome was Robinho’s pass? That’s what football is about.

The commentators noted it during the broadcast on ESPN. They also commented on the fact that North Korea’s star forward, who plays professional soccer in Russia, refuses to utilize a television, microwave, refrigerator, heater, or air conditioner as he has been taught that they could be used by outside powers to hurt both himself and the country of North Korea.

I really feel bad for anybody living within the North Korean border.

They didn’t have any of that on my channel, thats crazy what a shithole.

North Korea were surprisingly good, I hope they can beat Portugal.

It doesn’t surprise me that you heard all the ‘facts’ about North Korea on an American broadcasting network. The government have allowed the fans to travel to the event.People are so convinced that North Koreans all want to defect to another country, yet don’t see the hypocrisy in the fact that they cite on of their ‘star forwards’ who plays professional football in RUSSIA as an example of how they brainwash their people.

People give out about propaganda and its place in communist regimes down through the years.Let me tell you,in the USA you lot are fed more propaganda than any other country in the world at the moment. Those bullshit facts just listed off are an example of such.

Regarding the match,I was delighted that they did well. They made Brazil look ordinary for the first half but the class just about shone through in the end.Not bad for a team who haven’t played in a world cup for 44 years.

How about doing some reading before making such blatantly false comments:

http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2008/11/06/partners-oppression

The facts aren’t false, the North Korean government even confirmed that they won’t broadcast games if they are defeated.

There is no hypocrisy in the fact that their star forward plays football in Russia. He has already completely bought into the system, thus he has no desire to defect, he simply plays soccer for a foreign club.

And how did you measure the fact that the US is fed the most propaganda in the world? a scale? a balance? The insanity of the North Korean government is well documented, by a wide spectrum of countries and new networks, not just simply American ones.

They are a severely oppressed people, and I can only hope that one day we refer to that country simply as Korea.

I don’t want to turn this into a political debate, there is another forum for that, but I just thought that I should make my point.

Back to the World Cup. Go YANKS!!!

I did laugh a bit when Korea scored a goal, but i’m confident that Brazil will do very good on this cup if Kaka gets better, also i cheer for Santos(the Brazilian team that revealed Diego, Robinho and Elano) so it’s always good to see a goal from the boys from Santos.

I’m also cheering for Japan to get at least after the classificatory phase, that would be AWESOME.

These women were thrown out of the stadium cause the soccer authorities thought they were “Ambush Marketing”

Just when I thought soccer couldn’t be any more queer. Vuvusala in for the kill, the single most annoying thing I have ever heard. I went to turn on sportcenter and fucking soccer is on, I’m like oh mayby it a damn highlight, WTF is that noise, is my TV fucked? Hmmmm, sounds like it’s coming from thr TV, but those announcers don’t seem to notice the noise? WTF! hmmm, noise gone,

I know dog, it’s soooooo boring. After I turned the TV off I went outside and stared at my garden for an hour, I swear I could see the plants growing. It was at least 30X as exciting, also I did hear some buzzing but it was just a bee pollinating my plants, not some rediculously annoying soccer fans who seek attention so bad that they have to ruin the sport they love just so the story is about them and not the games. YAY! Soccer Fans FTW! I can’t wait till they start rioting and trampling people. It’s going to be soooooo cool, I wish I could trample some people because my team scored one goal in 3 hours.

V
Lol, you dastardly, sneaky Americans. Trampling people is funny.

Beats watching a few ridiculously tall guys repeatedly throwing a ball through a hoop, or dudes covered in duvets sliding about on ice, hitting a tiny object into a tiny goal at such speeds that you only catch it in the replays or when the guys start celebrating.

Don’t get me started on your bastardised version of the best sport of all, cricket!

Oh, I have no problem with American Football. That’s cool. People hitting each other like freight trains for my amusement. Excellence.

I’m not an american, I’m a super Sayin originally from the planet Vegita. I came to this world about 10 years ago so I have no prior bias for the sports you pathetic humans play. Soccer is just gay, Please trust me I’m a member of an advanced alien race.

Who would have thought you need a 5 hour energy, a pot of coffee, 7 candy bars, and smelling salts just to get through watching a soccer game. LOL 6 out of 13 games so far end in a DRAW! Sweet! 3 hours of boring and no one wins! I’m surprised this sport hasn’t gotten more interest in the US, what with everyone trying to let all the kids win, hey, here is a sport that has it built right in, 50% of the time it’s a tie, so no one gets hurt feelings. Everyone can get a trophy and a ribbon telling them they are just as good as the other kids.

Seriously Vegita, your just highlighting your poor understanding of soccer, and sports in general. Nobodies forcing you to watch the most popular sporting event in the world.

Football is like a beautiful woman. If you’ve lived in Uglyville it will seem odd to you at first. But you will immediately become attracted and soon become mesmerized.

Almost every teams first game is going to be low scoring, as they are still trying to get their lines set, are nervous about opening the World Cup, don’t want to let in an early goal, and don’t need to push for points as they are all even points wise.

The scoring will elevate as the round moves on, as teams will loosen up, squads will be forced to pursue points, and teammates begin to mesh with one another.
Never looked at it that way. So Germany is an anomaly? They look like the team to beat! Read a report of them having 4 months MORE practice with the new ball than other teams because of implementation into the Bundesliga - I think that’s minor and they’re just a fucking steamrolling side.

Can’t wait for Spain vs Swiss tonight, should be good also.
