my work just hired like 4 people withen 2 months
but it just fired like 4 people too
people dont get fired from my work due to the economy, they get fired for dumb shit like calling out to work 5 minutes before their shift.
We’ve lost a few people at my work recently, but so far everyone who got the axe brought it on themselves by excess tardiness, theft, etc.
My company has announced there will be no raises this year, which sucks but I can live with that.
What I can’t stomach is, I’m seeing a pattern of petty harrassment that is directed at some of our senior personel. Basically the company is trying to drive out the people who have been here forever because they get paid a little more by the hour.
It’s bullshit, but our company is famous for bullshit and I’m past the point of worrying about it. I take care of my people, shield them as much as possible, but there’s only so much I can do. I feel fortunate that I have a job, for now, and fortunate that I have no morgage, no wife and kids, no child support, so if I ever have to choose between my integrity and my job, I won’t have to give it a second thought.
