I watched the first episode of fringe, I thought it was dreadful. Is it really worth carrying on?
So several people log on talking about how they like it…and that leads you to ask the question you did?
Heard of logic?
If YOU don’t like it, then YOU don’t watch it.
Where the show is now makes the first season seem like they were just playing with the idea trying to see what worked best.
It’s a perfectly reasonable question, but I’ll brush off the typical “YOU DISAGREE SO YOU CAN LEAVE” attitude and try another couple of episodes, perhaps from the latest season.
I think Fringe is worth watching. I would not jump into the current season though. Try a few more episodes from the first season. Maybe spread out a couple episodes a week. It is VERY character driven. It is very Sci-Fi. If you generally hate Sci-Fi, or are only willing to tolerate elements of it if there is plenty of action than it may not be for you.
Netflix DOES NOT have it on instant, so it may take a bit more work to track down season one. Amazon shows it for $19 for the season one set. If you usually like Sci-Fi that is not too much of a risk.
^Also, I would say it is some of the most creative writing I have seen on a show since the first and second season of Lost. The episode in Olivia’s mind where it becomes animated is just classic.

Seen a few epsiodes and its pretty good, i’m still bummed out that they cancelled fast forward!
I have never seen “Flash Forward” but heard it was from a book…so I read the story of it in short form on wikipedia…so if you want to know how it’s supposed to go try that.
Fucking Wilfred on FX…I hope it doesent get cancelled after one season. Dark, funny, interesting.
Whats not to like about:
About a dog who smokes weed with his owners neighbor.
Has a real relationship with a stuffed bear of whom he fucks the stuffing out of.
Makes elijah wood do fucked up shit (literally) like shitting in one of his neighbors shoes!

This is one of the best shows to watch while drunk (or getting there) that I’ve come across in a long time. The fact that the dog has a British accent just makes it all the more hilarious.

Hmmmm I plan on getting tipsy tonight at home with the Mrs…I think Ill re-watch the whole season tonight with my Jamesons.
I’d really like to start watching Fringe at some point.
Probably the most underrated show I’ve ever seen was Party Down, which use to be on Starz for 2 seasons. You can catch it on Netflix, etc. Great cast, hilarious delivery without having to resort to any kind of uniform comedy tactics that shows like Family Guy, The Office, etc.

So, is The Fringe like a serious version of Eureka? I can use another good show to fit in with Doctor Who and Pain Killer Jane.
I guess I should see if Fringe is even available via Netflix.
I wouldn’t say that maybe more like Warehouse 13. Doctor Who is the shit.
they even have an action figure collection

I’m down to the last season of Dr Who on Netflix, and I’m trying to stretch it out until they release the next season. So I watch an episode of Dr Who, then an episode of Pain Killer Jane. Eureka was one of the shows I was watching, but I ran out of Eureka episodes. Now I need to find another show to mix in and watch.
I forgot about Warehouse 13. I saw a couple episodes, and it was pretty good.
