LOL im small minded? WOW! haha, what do you mean “their religion varies a fraction” if your speaking about allah, that is MUCH MUCH more then a fraction. You have to be OUTSIDE your mind to believe that when you die ALLAH IS GOING TO GIVE YOU 170 Virgin women based on your life HAHAHAHAHAHA. Or Scientology, Better go check your pheton levels huh, wouldnt want to anger lord gorgalack LOL. I have had this debate several times. the sad thing is everyone who isnt a believer in God gets super mad and wants to fight? Im not mad at all I said was my thoughts on death im sorry i horrifically offended you.
Of course I’m horrified of death, but the thought of losing my mom or my brother… idk ='[

You do offend me with your bigotry. I feel sad for you that you’ll never open your mind to all the possibilities of life, because you are so indoctrinated that you believe unquestioningly in a device of control. You are no different from some fanatical suicide bomber, really. You are intolerant to anything other than your own religion. The only difference is, you don’t blow people up for their beliefs. You merely condemn them to hell instead. If hell exists then your condemnation of them to eternal damnation is in fact worse than ending their life, in some ways. I’m sure your God would think highly of you for such compassionate, humane, caring behaviour - not.
And yes you are mad, or you wouldn’t have shouted at me. Me, I just shake my head at your ignorance. Japananese philosophy taught me when to just laugh and walk away. Some people cannot be helped to see their own problems.
BTW, I don’t consider scientology to be a religion. It’s a blatantly made up way of making money and a club for bored, stupid rich people.

Good post mang, good post.
At least we can agree on scientology :), You have your thoughts and I have mine. Lets leave it at that. I dont mean for you or anyone else to feel like i am condemning you lol. I had an open mind for a very long time and did consider many of the religions. But after reading the bible i made my choice, to believe in that, just as you have a choice to believe in whatever it is you believe in.
I simply answered the thread and tossed in my 2 cents just as everyone else did. LOL the caps are just emphasis thats all. I bet John trovolta and tom cruise are gonna flame you for the whole scientolgy comment :). I just believe one should stand for what they believe in and if they shouldnt back down from confrontation. If you want to believe it then go for it if not then do whatever. I cant stand people who cant pick a side in any debate. NO SIDE= SPINELESS. I gotta go to the gym now so i prob wont respond to your next comment for a while. Peace
I personally have been thinking about it for a while, which scares me and motivates me all the same I have to make the most of my time on earth make a real different because once your dead your nothing your gone its inevitable. You have no concious mind when your dead.

Your entire post was solid and I particularly enjoyed the above.
One thing this life has taught me is to pick your battles. It is often necessary to be the bigger man. One cannot expect to win every argument, and most definitely not with those who believe in an all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipotent, curiously invisible and entirely unproven entity.
That is NOT to say that one cannot have a perfectly functional and enlightening conversation with a believer of Judaism/Islam/Christianity, incidentally. Again, the concepts of picking your battles and knowing when to step aside and be the bigger man very much come into play here.
I generally enjoy your posts. Keep it up.
why did people thinking that guy getting his ass kicked in Combat Forums was insane because he said Jesus taught him karate??? Don’t actors receiving awards thank God for their talent? So God taught them to act right?
Perfectantly sane people tell me about a big giant guy in the sky that controls everything… isnt that “crazy”??
To BBB
scientology is a religion because it has all characteristics of a religion. community, myth, rituals, sacred texts ect…

Nicely said.
For my thoughts on grief and separation, Living Beyond Loss -- Surviving Grief, Loss and the Death of Children / Death of a Child -- Survival
It is the issue that we love people that makes us miss them, otherwise we wouldn’t care about the separation.

If he truly believed to the point that he knows it as fact, is it really him being narrow minded?
If you know for a fact 2 + 2 = 4 and someone comes along and says no it’s 7 are you narrow minded for thinking he’s an idiot?
The purpose of religion is not belief, it is to know. When people are open minded about their religion then they don’t necessarily believe it they just do it just cause.

essentially, if you are an athiest, believe in allah, scientology, or any other bullshit religions then you should be afraid of dieing because trust me my friend you will not be going to paradise. But if you believe in Jesus Christ and try to live a good life that is pleasing to him then you have nothing to worry about.
I have plenty of friends that have no fear in death whatsoever, thats not to say they want to die, but they do not fear it at all. To everyone that is going to flame me, Go open a bible, read it, stop being a prideful asshole and understand theres more to life then your pathetic presence.[/quote]
for fuck sake, you had to say this didn’t you?
because every other religion is BS, but your own? oh the irony

“I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.” – Mark Twain
What BBB has posted is undoubtedly the smartest thing we will see on this thread.
