I just see it as a tidier, prettier way to e-mail. All my internet correspondence with friends and family is done on facebook.
Also it’s a more convenient way to share photos, as it’s the same site as my correspondence and not a separate one like flickr or whatnot.

One thing I won’t do it put up loads and loads of personal photos on there. If you want to share pics, Windows Live works very well.

…and Facebook themselves. There was that whole thing a while back where they were planning to claim ownership of all the photos people upload.
I am on it, but dont like being online. Its good for messaging people or sharing videos and shit, but watching the news feed is just depressing
lol, I can see how it can lead to problems.
I use facebook daily, and im not gonna defend my use by saying its good for whatever bullshit reason or another, i genuinely enjoy facebook. There i said it.
I quit because it was generating akwardness with old fiends and other acquaintances. I have nothing against anyone but it’s like a subtle diss if I decline to add someone, or if someone declines to add me. I hate that.

I just became tired of it. Too superficial. 
I just commented on a womans profile update of “Hitting the gym” with “would you like a spotter for dead lifts?” and she liked it.

I was called an “awful person” by a girl I mess around with (but am friends with on Facebook) on Friday night for the things I write on people’s shit on facebook, and she said that she thought I have personal issues to work out because I talk so much shit.
She also ended up makin out with me with her tits hangin’ out as I was trying to drop her off at the end of the night so… Facebook win I guess.
