Who Gets Pumped to the Conan Soundtrack?

Best T-shirt ever.

I love the intro music (it’s called “Prologue - Anvil of Crom” if you want to find it on YouTube). The Conan score really lifted it, if it didn’t have the right actors (James Earl Jones, Arnie etc.) and a good score, it would be such an awful B-movie.

it was on G4 the other night

i expected more badassery

When Conan and his cohorts don the black war paint and storm Thulsa Dooms stronghold will always be one of the most BAD ASSERY movie moments for me. I loved it when I was 12 and still dig that scene at 39. The music fits perfectly with that part. Right up thar with Dirty Harry giving his 44 Mag speech.

You’ll probably like this figurine they made of him at the 09 ComicCon then…

Not enough CGI and dance moves for you?

Ok confess: who else saw this movie when they were kids and went to bed praying that James Earl Jones would show up and kidnap them and make them push a “Wheel of Pain” around for like 10 years?

What the hell did that thing even do?

Dunno, it didn’t look like it was used for anything than turning orphans into german-sounding diesel ass kickers. I don’t think it had any other utilitarian uses like milling grain or pumping water. Just crankin out badasses.

It just seemed like a pointless punishment, because it was nowhere near any settlement to be used for milling grain etc.

It’s a bit like how in Victorian jails, inmates had to wind a crank a specific number of times each day (that’s where the nickname “screws” came from for wardens). The actual mechanism did nothing, it was just a punishment.

it was too much of ur mom

I literally watch this movie once a week. The bah bah bah song is rather addictive; however, it only appears in Conan the destroyer which I feel is total shit compared to the first movie. I agree with those who are fans of “the orgie song.” I’m a little pissed because every time I lime wire it, I get mad viruses and an unplayable version of the song. I like to go to sleep listening to " battle of the mounds."

IMPORTANT NOTE: I noticed several months ago that the main theme in Brave Heart is a %100 rip-off of the flute section from “Riddle of Steel.” We’ve all been deceived. Brave Heart isn’t really a good movie, it just gives us subliminal awesome memories of CTB!!!

Conan the Barbarian Soundtrack:

Other songs from the album should show up under related content.

Love it! Conan movies were awesome!

So it was too cool for you and you couldn’t handle it. That sounds about right. Go watch Save the Last Dance and enjoy yourself.

Ok, I know I’m doing a thread necro, but Conan was on “On Demand” and I watched it again for the umpteenth time.

Always loved that soundtrack, in fact, when I got married my wife let me and the groomsmen walk into the ceremony while “Anvil of Crom” was playing. How cool a wife?

Ah you beat me to it. I was too busy choking on the fact that TWO out of this lot didn’t actually know what he said.

I like it so much, I even bought the mug.
