I see where you’re coming from. But you still haven’t convinced me suspending Habeas Corpus is at all necessary.
Shouldn’t a guy who has a few AK’s in his garage and a map of the general DC area with big red X’s all over it be a pretty quick trial? And don’t the ambiguous cases deserve to be tried? TO give them a chance to prove their innocence, ensuring we make no mistakes about who we ship off to an African country for torture? To ensure we don’t make a mistake and end up torturing and holding without trial a man who bought a cell phone that four years ago belonged to a terrorist?
