Laugh about men prancing around in tights all you want, but I know a high-level jiu jitsu guy who recently came out as somewhere on the trans spectrum, but he’s not quite sure where yet. He dresses very femme, like tight spaghetti strap tops, girly shoes, tight leggings, makeup, the whole bit. He’s also jacked and very deep-voiced. I’m guessing he can squat at least 405, maybe quite a bit more.

Recently he’s started walking onto the mats with his nails painted, mascara on and a spaghetti-strap top underneath his gi. He will then proceed to whoop everyone’s ass in the room. Handily.

Easily one of the five baddest people I’ve ever rolled with, and a really cool person off of the mat too. He’s very intense, but also the real deal when it comes to high-level achievements. Whoever becomes the first asshole to really give him a hard time about his choice of nail polish or whatever will almost certainly be regretting it on several different levels.

There are some tough gay guys in jail who would make you their girlfriend if they get the chance. Still doesn’t make it cool. Nor men in tights.

No, but seriously, I’m not into the gender identity debate. People can be what they want to be as long as they don’t affect others. Gaining an upperhand because of biological gender in competitive sports, however, is an issue but I’m not going there.

I had my brief moment of “well isn’t that odd?” when he first told me, but I just put my gi on like a big boy and carried on pajama wrestling with the same guy I always trained with before. As far as I know everyone else in the local jiu jitsu community feels the same way. If anyone doesn’t, they haven’t had anything to say about it. It helps that he’s all business on the mats.

These days people are doing all kinds of weird things, it seems like this is just another one to add to the list. I’m thinking of defecting to Russia.

You’ve always got the opportunity to beat someone up who is right in front of you. I’m not sure why I’d want to beat up one of my best training partners, but you’re right, the opportunity is there.

I’ve lost to this person more times than I can count without ever feeling embarrassed about it. Can you explain to me why I’m not processing this experience properly? Why, exactly, should I feel embarrassed? Please elaborate.

I’ve noticed more clothing lines that are unisex, and have unisex models. I’m not sure if that’s the word I’m looking for, but you see the ad and you can’t tell if the model is male or female

I don’t know where you got that from in this thread. I just said it would be more embarssing to lose a jiu jitsu match if you wanted to beat the guy up because he’s a tranny. And I also said there were a lot of tough gays in jail who rape men. The internet is not the place to discuss moral issues these days due to the long reach of the thought police, but sexual deviancy does not necessarily correlate with physical weakness or poor fighting ability.

Now I get that guys want tight jeans.
And I also get that they might want something stretchy because it’s more comfortable.

But what is harder for me to undesrtand is that those pants are more cut to fit female curves and well… kinda makes you legs and ass look like women’s ass and legs…

And what is hardest for me to understand is how is it no problem for them to walk into female department of the store, take some jeggings, try them on and then go to the cashier and buy them.
Also, how they feel knowing they wear same stuff their girlfriend does?

The guy I was talking to, his girlfriend was also the one to buy him his first jeggings since he had some trouble getting comfy skinny jeans. So I kinda even get him at least, his GF even supports that and everything. And she is the one to buy that stuff to him too.

I am just kinda scared that in 10 years from now, clothing for men and women will be all the same. And I seen more guys in girl clothes than women in men’s… also women in general spend more on fashion and stuff like that… so I’m scared that in next 10 years we all might be walking around in jeggings because we are unable to find something normal to wear…
