This must be a bit of a letdown, but I’m afraid I have a ‘normal’ received pronunciation accent, AKA ‘the queen’s english’. But spoken really quickly and with much fouler language than I usually use on this forum. It is for this reason that my manner seems pedantically ‘correct’ on this board. I try to minimise the swearing. In real life, it’s a bit like that but the pedantic diction is mixed with coarse references and vulgar slang. It gave my lecturers at art college a headache. The first draft of my final essay thing referred to Clement Greenberg as a ‘belligerent fuck’.

Your mentioning “Elizabethan” has me thinking about English accents and for some reason when I read your posts I imagine you sounding like the Geico insurance company Gecko. This is of course completely wrong because he has a Cockney England accent, but I can’t help but make the association anyway. lol

Whereas I imagine something like the very last accent in that video… lol.
That was good fun.
FWIW, I spent part of my youth on Roanoke Island, NC (site of the first English settlement in North America, the “Lost Colony”) and residents there speak a combination of Elizabethan and southern English – quite unique.
That video was entertaining!
That is interesting, I never realized they spoke that way in Roanoke.

You mean you don’t talk like a seagull? That IS disappointing! lol
I wish I had a cool accent like English, Irish, Australian, French, Italian… anything really. People are like 10000x more awesome when they have a cool accent.
According to Business Insider poll, people that live in state of Massachusetts (which happens to be my home state), have the weirdest accents in all of America.
I’m feeling totally cheated, not only do I not have a nice accent, I have one of the worst accents in the entire country!!! That’s WICKED unfair!
man, that sucks.
I gather you’re all a bit Irish up that way? I can’t see that being unpleasant. The Irish accent is one of the most pleasant on earth.
All I know about the Welsh is:
-
their women are absurdly easy, at least to American soldiers on leave and seeing the country. Black hair, white white skin, brown eyes. It was like Thailand with white girls and (I presume) no lady boys. Expecially in little towns. I think they do it to prevent in-breeding.
-
it rained a bit all the time, except when it was pouring rain, which was the rest
-
Every pub the men broke out in song about 11:00pm
-
There are lots of sheep, to the point that I think the jokes are true
-
They made terrible fun of the English, but I think they are all just English themselves, and just made up stupid names to pretend to be different
Back on topic:
Worst job in the military — pulling “Officer of the Day” Duty Stateside. I had to bust a friend who was driving out of base with tons of ammo and crap in his trunk. It was practically dragging the ground. He got court martialed. I lost a friend. I fucking hated that.
Worst job civilian life — rock climbing instructor/guide on a Alaskan Cruise Ship. Did this on a whim out of the military. The brochure said “for experiecned people only” and specified the nature of the climb. We would get massively overweight out of shape folks in flip flops. You had to hike out to the sites — we’d lose people on the way. Bitchy 300lb women basically expecting me to carry their fat asses up sheer cliffs, then complaining that I refused to let them “climb.” I should have let a few fall to their deaths.

Hey, what’s creepy about getting on well with people?
Edit: Oh, I see. Well if it is going that way then this is the first time a beautiful(no lie, I saw the pic) woman has spoken to me in weeks. Can you guys possibly see your way to not fucking it up for me? Thanks muchly.
Sturg is smokin’ hot. She had more pics in her hub but looks to have deleted them all. I’ve been working on getting a bikini shot but she’s not cooperating. Maddox on the other hand was happy to share a picture of himself sportin a bikini.
I just saw this. What?
I once was a cleaner at a hospital and I mopped over a womans nipple.
True story.
shudder

Well actually… I’d like to hear more.
Yeah. I dont see how studying something important at a high level is a bad gig. No offence or anything, I just don’t get it.
