I would make financial investments, especially in the American market. It’s cheap as shit right now and will rebound. IRA, mutual funds, blue chip stocks…

That sounds like the kind of investment type advice I was looking for. But isn’t it a bit risky with the US economy in trouble? Who knows…I wouldn’t want to invest in a sinking ship…
Maybe property investment is a good option too. I bet there is some type of scheme around that would work.
Clearing debts is a definite priority, as is health.
Of course I’d probably set aside between 5-10 grand just to have fun, travel, and buy some of the shit I’ve always wanted but could never afford.

Warren Buffet just bought 3 or 4 billion in GE stocks. This is a good sign that the market is near a bottom. If I had extra money I would be buying shares now. The market is down 30% from it high-about the average of a bear market. You need to think long term-on average the S&P 500 returns about 9% a year. Being a young man your portfolio should be more stock heavy vs bonds-you must diversify. A first good visit would be vanguard.com. Also, you don’t have to dump the money in all at once-you can average it in.
have fun
I would probably get a refurbished tbird, and get a sweet sound system in it(20 grand total?). I would put like 10 grand into my savings account. another 10grand into safe investments, so I can have a second income in college. I would buy a new bass, amp, all sorts of music shit for the band me and a few friends might start. I would probably invest the last 5k into any charitable orginazation helping the homeless get on their feet, via education and helping with the job search.
