What Makes A Man?

(First of all I intend this to be a serious thread.)

I’m 19 years old. I’m going to admit that I have been having a personal crisis recently. I’m also going to admit that it’s a crisis of manhood. It’s probably mostly because of my age. But I know it’s also because I’ve grown up without a father.

I’ve been questioning myself recently. This is a public and anonymous website, and as such I don’t want to make this too personal (nor do I think most people give a shit), but I’ll say that my life is different from a lot of my peers.

What makes a man? Is it how many women you sleep with? Is it how commanding and respected you are among other men? Is it how good of a father you are, and how well you provide for your family? Is it something else? [/quote]

You don’t need others to tell you whether you are manly or not and at nineteen you cant have check list to see how manly have you been,to have any worth in the society as a person you only need to watch your character and career.

I think every man goes through a phase like this some time in his life its not a big deal
i would recommend that you just relax and learn to appreciate life, spend time with your loved ones do things that you love to do stay focused on your goals and one day you will feel stupid that you asked yourself this question.

As a fellow member of the “thank god being raised by my mom didn’t make me gay” club, I’ll tell you something you need to know. We can’t help you, because whatever makes you a man is different from whatever makes me a man (and I haven’t even figured that part out yet). So go out, live your life and some day it will come to you.
