What Happened to T-Nation?

I would imagine a handful of these are dual accounts.
You would be wrong. They are all individual people.

And the steroid forum- kind of a grey area of legality
That stays?

I come here to read and learn about training my own and others
I don’t care about the off topic areas nor of the drama spewing forth
However if people are being banned
What about the professional shit stirred
Or people whom have made serious repeated racist or gender based comment that’s are unacceptable
That all ok?
No. Only women.

TBG, but I’m not sure if that was related to SAMA stuff or not.

That still doesn’t explain why they still use the other account. It would be easier to delete the old account and use the new “forum name” account for both. Why use 2 accounts when there is no real reason to?

Put it this way, if I’m going to post in the Steroids forum about my experience, do you really think I want a paper trail leading back to me with my credit card number, name, address, etc?

People enjoy their anonymity on internet forums.
A paper trail is not really needed these days. IP tracking and other techniques are becoming increasingly sophisticated and are used more and more to get convictions, so if you are suggesting they are doing that to cover some illegal actions, using 2 different accounts is not going to be a good cover, at least not for much longer. Frankly, I am surprised they still allow the steroid forum and that people are still posting there. Thanks to Big Brother, internet anonymity is fading fast.

Wouldn’t you like to know… ;)
I will admit my natural curiosity is piqued  Not enough to push the subject any further though. I have two plausible theories but you won’t say which is correct anyway so why bother anymore.

I do find it interesting most of the women I caught grief from are gone. I know a crazy bitch when I see one. And the women I like are still here. Frankly I feel vindicated even if I can’t see behind the scenes.

Obviously you’re not since you are still here.
I couldn’t post on SAMA so I thought I was. Didn’t know they closed it down completely.

I don’t think most people see it this way yet.

Ya, it really should be relabeled the fantasy forum. You know, cause it’s all hypothetical, and imaginary and stuff. (nudge nudge wink wink).

It would be a real shame if it got nuked though. There’s alot of good info in there on how not to grow tits etc… At the very least, I would hope they make it a sub forum for t-replacement (which is legal, and should deffinitly not be nuked).

That’s too bad. BG was one of the few sharp minds on these boards.

And was he really fed up with anything? (I wouldn’t interpret his condescending tone that way; in reality, condescension tends to play pretty well over the internet)

Didn’t anybody ever tell you that college kids know everything? Seriously, though, people do need to wake up to how much of what they put on the internet is not private. Gee, look at the time…it’s 1984 already.

You can see they’ve already made this distinction for T Replacement in that it was moved to the public Forums.

Just read through this whole thread to come to the realization that I don’t care as much as I maybe thought I did 16 pages ago. Must’ve been idle curiosity at work, as the odd tidbit I stumbled upon implying serious drama had piqued my interest. I do miss me some Rainjack posts though.

edit: Oleena as well
Mascherano? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I applaud T-Nation for taking the direction they have taken…and that direction (in my observation) is a movement more towards natural bodybuilding/functional training emphasis. Nothing wrong with that. It took awhile to get used to it, just like it took awhile to get used to Muscle Media 2000 turning into just Muscle Media and a SIMILIAR change of direction (natural bodybuilding though with a more metro flare…T-Nation is NOT going that way…yet).

But what happened? Out of the ashes of Muscle Media came Testosterone: Dangerously Hardcore…and it took off on the strength of the old school hardcore population. It was more raw then, wasn’t so much a “fitness business” as T-Nation is becoming, and it was fresh with new information.

T-Nation won’t die out like Muscle Media did…but out of the lack of hardcore emphasis will rise something new elsewhere I’m sure of it. The hardcore population is a force to reckon with…just not as much of a force as the current trend in functional training. T-Nation is doing what they have to do to grow; it is a good business decision. And good business decisions usually leave the foundation “outer frontier” population out in the cold.

I’m hoping another site led by the likes of a Bill Roberts, Cy Wilson, etc will emerge. Heck, I would love it if the powers that be at T-Nation create a brother site called “Dangerously Hardcore” where the outer limits discussions, news, etc would dominate.

Until then, gotta go with the flow. But something will emerge, I can practically guarantee it.
