What Happened to T-Nation?

Not keen on the new drop-down menu - why not keep all the sub-forums in there?

Like most updates, you’ll need to hard refresh (shift + refresh) to get the latest style updates.
Never knew that, Clicking Shift + F5 fixed my overlap issue.
me too.

is there a way to keep Canadians from accessing the forums?

that would be a step in the right direction, imo~

I enjoy how steroids and TRT are now “Off Topic” subjects.

If Strong Words, Combat and RMP are core-industry categories, I really see no reason why those two shouldn’t be… unless you don’t want to scare some new members off with those kinda of subjects.

Not that it really matters. Still just as easy to get around; the categorization of those two forums is just a bit silly. It might even cut down on the dumb posts in those two areas.

eh,… there’s been a lot of changes over the years, and while the first few days may have the odd glitch here and there, they always get worked out, and within a week or two, everyone forgets that anything is different.

I’ve got bigger issues to whine about

Exactly.

Damn skinny kids with their partial reps and huge egos!

 1. My minor complaint is that you have to “log on” to read “off-topic.” Sometimes, a guy just likes to read.

 2. For whatever reason, the forum lists now fall off the right of my screen and there is no way to get to them. I see a row of bullet points. I guessed what is there to get here, for example.

Gotta give this site credit…when they commit to something, they go all in with it! Burn those motherfuckin bridges back to “the way it was before”

Let me see if I can help clear a few things up.

As I mentioned, we’re shifting the Forums around to better showcase our core-industry content. That is not:

a) Porn
b) Politics
c) Illegal substances
d) How many threads we can create about “being a thread killer”

Down-playing these “other” Forums and making them only accessible by logged-in, registered users helps us to better stay in the good graces of “The Google” as well as many other search engines, legitimate business and higher learning networks / ISPs. This helps us get our word out to more people about the official purpose of T-Nation. And if you don’t think that Google and private networks ban sites for “off color” content, you’re sorely mistaken.

If you’re having trouble accessing the forums that are no longer on the Forums home page because you are using an iPad / iPod / iPhone / other mobile device, we’re aware of this situation. Mobile devices do not support onMouseOver for menu actuation, so we will be adding support for onClick actions soon.

Lastly, we’re a D- porn site at best. If you’re coming here for that content, there are many sites out there that are doing WAY better jobs than we are (not that I know anything about it…).

For now, we haven’t deleted or closed any Forums. They’re all still available, you just gotta hunt a bit more to get to some.

Lastly, this response is no different from threads that members have posted nearly every single time we make changes like this. Everyone will get used to it, just in time for us to change it again. That much is certain.

onClick support will certainly make the adjustment easier, glad to hear it.

LowFatMatt, I think that’s a great direction for the site.

N.m It seems that T-Nation will make things better…woo

See, now YOU can say this and everyone will either not acknowledge it or nod their heads like it’s the most agreeable thing since pancakes over waffles (get your heads out of the sand, forumites, and realize it’s truth).

HG says it, and it becomes a shitstorm about misogyny, women’s rights and men being intimidated by strong women who are comfortable with their sexuality.

sooo SAMA and Get A Life are no loger going to be threads???

I’ve said it in the past too…or rather, I’ve asked what the appeal was when there is so much better else ware. No shitstorm…but then you have to have a gram or two of manners and diplomacy and a non-troll tone to ask a question and get a proper answer.

I think we need more interviews with people who think out-of-the-box.Just like it used to be.

So what I’m hearing is… there’s a lesson to be learned in all of this?

You know, besides that whole, you now have to log in to see some of the forums thing.

Makes sense.
