Welcome Back NFL Fans

so will NY embrace Favre or not? Makes me sick but I wish him and them well. looking at the Jets schedule, it is pretty soft. Miami twice, 49’ers, Raiders, Buffalo twice.

I don’t know how soft the Jets are though. Any non-homers have some input?
NY Media being tough. This has to be the oldest and most tired cliche.

Why?

This is year Romo…FINALLY…wont choke in the playoffs

the Chargers will CONTINUE to choke in the playoffs

Who else will win the NFC? The Giants? yeah right. Vikings? Even with the best D they wont pull it throu (even with Favre)

Colts have a chance. Jags arent quite there yet. Browns might make the wildcard. Steelers will lose in playoffs. Titans might make the wildcard

Pats are still a very very good team…even though the cheat…they still will do excellent

If I am wrong, what are your opinions? The Pathers…ha!

You speak blasphemy my friend. The Giants will rule all once again!! We will drink the blood of the weaker teams and use our oponents helmets as dinner bowls. The Pats must be sucking off the commish, because they have a super easy schedule for a team that went to the superbowl. Even though they loss the game 18-1, mmmmmm that still sounds so good to this day. Excuse me I going to order some New England clam chowder and then piss in it.

LoL thats too funny. Thats right a Panthers fan sense '96!!

I would like to know where all these Pats fans where in 2000 when they went 5-11?..There weren’t any!! and other than them selves they play in the worst division in foot ball with the Bills, Fins and Jets.(sry fans of said teams but its true you 3 went 12-36) and you can think Moss for that 16-0 b/c with out him it would have been 10-6/11-5. Their D is older than dirt and they didnt do enough to improve on it in the off season and to say the Chargers chocked with their 2 best O players not even playing in the AFC champ game and their QB on a gimp leg is a joke

As for the Cowboys Ill give it to you, at least you have real fans and not what have you done for me lately fans like in NE
I am not a Pats fan and never will be. But if I am a betting man, then I would place money on them. Of course they have no fans when they suck.

The only poorthing for the Pats is there weak schedule (which was not a suckign of the commish cock, thats what SpyGate beign swept under the rug was about, it is a matter of rotation). They won’t be tested TILL the playoffs. Yes, there D isnt the best, but it will hold up for 2-3 more years to keep them in the top 3. They will get an automatic bid, get a bye the first round coming being seeded #2. They will go 13-3 in regular season.

Chargers have excellent talent. I, personally, just see them gettin so close, and just not making (but who knows thats how the Colts were for a few years till the made it). Don’t like Rivers and when I LT being listed in the Top 5 backs of all time, it makes me cringe. I don’t think they will win this year.

I’m not a Boys fan either. Romo is WAY WAY over rated. He was voted second best QB in the league…please. They will make the Superbowl however. But the AFC will continue to dominate as always

I am a Steelers fan and agree with the above perdiction. They will split with the Brown however. But will still win the division. They will lose to the Jags…again…first round

I thin you are giving to much credit ti the Browns, they have had one good year. The Bengals had one really good year now look at them. The Jets have spent $100 mill on the O-line in the off season so but I have no clue of what their WR core looks like but if they can get that sry excuse for a RB moving forward instead of backward they have a chance of caching lighting in a bottle, a la the Browns or even the Giants so I would not just write the Jets off.

I mean look what having a good o-line has done for Brady, I bet you couldnâ¿¿t name 3 WR on the Pats until last year but he gets it done b/c he has the time, plus Farve makes his own time.

I dont like making Superbowl predictions b/c its just dumb to(Thank You NY Giants). Last year I took the field against the Pats in the playoffs and I walked away a richer man.

Anyway Im happy for Jets fans until about week 4 or 5 and if we can be happy for them after that well then good for them.

That wouldnt happen to be the same year they went to Super Bowl XXXI would it? Yes…I think it would, and and what about when you were 6 hmmmmm? Im just j/k, not saying that all Pats fans are band wagon jumpers just 90% of them along with Redsoxs and Celtic fans and there is nothing wrong with that, its just that their opinions dont count =)

I still have a Karry Collins jersey, how many of you have still have a Drew Bledsoe jersey?
I still have my Bledsoe jersey in my closet, and I haven’t bought a new Brady Jersey since the first superbowl. I also have Green Bay Favre jersey too haha.

I can’t tell you all how relieved I am to know that Favre is coming nowhere near Tampa.

GO BROWNS!!! This is the best team they’ve had since '89 when they went to the AFC Championship. Unfortunately, this is also the toughest schedule (on paper) that they’ve ever had. I am cautiously optimistic.

I can’t tell you how relieved I am that this whole shit is over.

/duh duh-duh duh-duh GO PACK GO!

I still don’t think Favre will make that much of an impact. It might take him some time to get use to the system there. Before last season people thought he was done because his two previous systems might have been his worst statisically. Both seasons he had a low 70’s QB rating.

I hope the Chargers crush him in the 3rd game of the season.

Favre will do fine. Jets 9-7. Wild card tie breaker contender.

So we got our first round of Pre-season games last night and it was nice just to have football back!! Im a sports guy, I just love sports. I can watch Baseball, Hockey, Golf, hell ill even watch the world cup when its on, but there is nothing as good as Football. Its like having a PS3 and then having it taken away and all you have left is a fist gen PS then FINALY after months you get the PS3 back!!

lastly I know its just Pre-Season and it dosent count but the Pats lost to the Ravens last night and that is turning a frown up side down.

Typical Kyle Boller last night- makes a bunch of accurate throws, and a couple bonehead mistakes. I wonder if Troy Smith will get the chance to start next week.

I hate Kyle Boller, but it goes beyond his playing. It goes back to high school days.

But, as far as his playing, he’s from the Tedford school of qb’s. Same as Harrington, Akili Smith, David Carr, and Trent Dilfer. This is exactly the reason I worry about Aaron Rodgers replacing Favre.

Who you got?

So Shawne Merriman decides to play, despite two torn knee ligaments.

Against the advice of not one, not two, not three but four doctors.

Hmmm? True Warrior or Fool? Discuss.

As a Chargers fan, I still say very foolish.

If this situation was before the Super Bowl, I’d almost be ok with him going for it for that one game. But to attempt to play an entire year on a known bad knee and risk a chance at a long and lucrative career is plain old stupid.

If he tears his knee up any more and can’t play, it’s safe to assume the Chargers will release him. Then he’s on his own, and there would be no guarantee he could get back to form and be picked up by another team.

If he doesn’t bench himself, the Chargers should make him sit.

Visited with a kid from the Make-A-Wish Foundation because his wish was to meet me. I gave him a human skull from my own collection–and signed it!–and explained that asthma was weakness leaving his body. I told his nurse that my wish was to wear her ass like a hat.

I totally tapped it.
