the other day my neighbor was probing me about my injury woes… I don’t believe in chiropractic at all but she insisted that her brilliant chiro could help with my pain and I am too nice (in real life) to tell her that she’s an idiot so i obliged.
ANYWAY… i went to the guy today, and he insists that he needs to take xrays. I know that chiropractors are notorious for taking unecessarry xrays but I’m not the argue in person about it kind of guy so I let him go ahead… at least my insurance covers it. After the xrays, he told me that he needs time to examine the films, and advised me to schedule another appointment to discuss the results.
To me, knowing that it should take less than a few minutes to look at a radiograph, this seemed like a flagarent money-extraction tactic and at that point I basically told him to fuck off and left without rescheduling. was I unfair?

How, exactly, did you say it?
Considering that you just said you’re too nice, and you’re not the argue in person kind of guy, so I’m guessing you didn’t actually use the words “fuck off”.
If you really felt he didn’t need the other appt., why not argue it with him? Maybe he would have caved and given you some advice right then and there.
Any way, I don’t think you were unfair, unless you didn’t tell him the reason you weren’t scheduling another appt.
If you told him that you weren’t rescheduling because you didn’t believe you should need to, and because you thought he’s just trying to get extra money out of you and/or the insurance company, then you were fair enough without arguing further, IMHO.

I went to the chiro, he did some treatment straight away and i got my xray done before the second appointment. Then brought in my xray on the second appointment, he went thru the xray and treated me again.
I was often holding back laughter during my chiro appointments just cos it’s a bit of a wierd experience, and my dude treated me in a very strange manner. After a few appointments their beliefs become more clear and it involves the use of the “4 elements” amongst other things.
My lower body problems were attributed to something with my gall bladder and my frustrations regarding a family member.
All in all tho, I suspect the chiro did work a bit, and at the very least, its a fun ride.
Not all Chiropracters are the same. Make sure you do your homework on them first before a visit. I’ve had three & they’ve been amazing!
