I don’t think GW or any of those guys were gay, btw. GW was kinda wierd though, how he hated being touched and was an avid dancer. But he had the hotz for his best friend’s wife so very likely he’s hetero.

Well, I meant being male and not a prancer. You’re probably not a prancer but we’ve all seen the flaming prancers at the mall (usually) and those guys are men in name only.

I hate these supposed historians that try to prove the “gayness” of every great historical figure. When I was in college and actually studied historiography we had to learn about post-modern approach which basically focuses on sexuality and the down trodden. My teacher, who by the way was gay, actually told us that he went to one of these conferences and was shocked that a professor he had known for years showed up after a sex change as a woman. He had a distaste for post-modernism and so do I.
Plain and simple George Washington was most likely not gay because his diaries and writings never mention anything about gay relationships nor do anyone else’s. Washington was a beloved man, but near the end of his political career he had many advesaries that tried to bring him down for various reasons. It seems strange that in a time period when homosexuality was definitely not accepted one of his advesaries wouldn’t have brought him out as one if he was.
I read the same sort of rubish about Abraham Lincoln a few months ago. He slept in a bed with other men while traveling during the Civil War. Fact is he was traveling and staying in military quarters where beds were few and far between. Most men slept on the ground. Maybe people should do some actual research on the topics before putting modern standards in previous time periods.
