It’s alright little buddy. You’ll be sweet 16 soon.
Nobody in his (or her) right mind wants to
fight Russia but consider the implications of Palin saying we wouldn’t fight Russia
under those circumstances. I’m an old codger
(Vietnam vet) who remembers when everybody thought John Foster Dulles was doing a great
thing getting us into NATO and SEATO, etc.
Then the day came to honor the commitment to SEATO and it didn’t seem like such a good idea. Maybe we should get out of NATO but
if we stay in and Georgia gets in, then yes,
we have to honor our word.
By the way, I’ve read the revised NATO charter and it has provisions that are about
like Bush’s policy of pre-emptive strikes
based on suspicion of WMDs and the like.
That puzzled me when the NATO signers weren’t more supportive of the US in Iraq.

Google it. Aren’t you all about how information is s easy to get on the internet? I mean, you’re the guy saying that McCain shouldn’t be president because he can’t google his information, right?
How about you live by your own standard.
I know the pres or vice Pres have no use for computers but

The way I understand it there was a vote and Goerga was denied, and normally it takes 10 years to be accepted

Why is it on the thread about Oil leases and the threads on Information age and the war on Russia you want to talk about me and not the given subject? Do you do this on other threads; I still would like to know if you are a homosexual, limp wristed accountant that comes to the internet for something you could not get in real life.

I’ve offered my opinion on all of those subjects, and in a far more articulate manner than you have. If there is any question about my stance on any of the three threads you mention, I suggest you haul your fat, lazy ass over to those threads and fucking read what I wrote.
Your concern over my personal life is touching. I can’t really say I give a dog fuck about yours. So sorry about not reciprocating.
Are you homophobic? Why do you use homosexuality as an insult? Does it make you feel more manly? Your fear of my sexuality says more about you than it does me.

I personally appreciate some one that has an opposing point of view, You probably do communicate better than I you have 4 years of college, But you are still an asshole , You post this big guy that either is your boyfriend or you want project a big frightening persona .
Then you verbally abuse any one that disagrees with you calling them names, and being irrational. I have never in my life met a person that would have the nuts to act like that in person, because some one would kick you ass.
So I am surmising you are some fat accountant that nurtures your ego by acting tough where you don??t have to cash the checks your mouth can write

I disagree with FI all the fucking time. We call each other names that would make a sailor blush.
He doesn’t cry about it.
Why do you?
Do you see me crying because you have decided to make personal insults about everything from my choice in avatar to my sexuality? No. You don’t.
I don’t “act tough”. I tell the truth as I see it. If you don’t like the way I talk - don’t fucking talk to me. It’s really not rocket science. If you don’t want me saying shit about your posts - don’t say stupid shit, and maybe learn how to fucking convey your thoughts in a format that is more intelligible than your half-textese crap. It’s lazy.
As for my physical condition - what does that have to do with anything in this forum? Do I need to be a certain BF% before I Have the right to speak?

I cuss all the time. If you are intimidated by me, that would be your problem, not mine.
If you feel uneducated - that again is your problem, not mine. I never said you were uneducated.
The fact that you say that is the best you can do speaks volumes.
Sorry for expecting more from you than you expect of yourself. It must be a miserable fucking world to live in where you throw your hands up and say, “this is the best I can do”.
I would go out behind the house and blow my fucking brains out if I ever heard that kind of loser-assed shit come out of my kids’ mouths.

This is where I think you have shit for brains, you have an education but you are an idiot. People try to communicate with you rationally and you talk about their ability to punctuate properly. If I wanted to enhance my writing skills, I would off to my local community college. My literary skills suit my occupation just fine. Rather than communicate about the given subject you are off on how you should commit suicide and my inferiority complexes.
I think you see your self as this intimidating person , I think most intelligent people think you may be a descent accountant with a pretty good grasp on economics , but you are a big blow hard ass hole

I used to cut open dead cows for a living. I never once sounded like an illiterate oaf. So, don’t give me that “my literary skills fit my occupation just fine” crap. Unless you are paid to be a fucking idiot, of course. Short of that, you are using your job as an excuse to be lazy. Makes no difference to me, but it’s getting kind of old to keep reading about your lack of education. No one cares.
Take some pride in yourself. Quit obsessing over what I do or say.
I am an asshole. I am a douche bag. Hell - I started a fucking thread about it. I don’t care what some illiterate sounding dipshit in AZ thinks of me.
I believe that I am the first ACTUAL Russian to post on this site and let me say two things:
-
When you spell a country, any country, please capitalize the first letter. russia is Russia, georgia is Georgia.
-
Cold War II is already at our doorsteps. We can’t look out the window and see it, but it is here. Ukraine has no running water, period. Moscow, the friggin capital of Russia, the supposed center of its entire culture and the country itself, has no hot water.
How do I know? I’ve been there and a large part of my family and friends reside there. The economy doesn’t exist. People would rather use barter trade then use currency. Russian media fills them with biased information and twisted ideas.
The only people who know the truth are the open minded, the bipartisan, and the dead. Try to be the first one.

I am glad you used to cut open cows, it sounds as though it suits your personality, I am sorry to inform you that although you do not sound as an illiterate oaf, you still sound like a regular oaf.
My occupation is of no concern to you. If you are tired of reading my posts, it is simple, QUIT.
If you knew me you would say I do not only take great pride in my self, but I am borderline cocky
You are right you are an asshole, douche bag, dick wad I could go on.

Music man did Russia have hot water before all this?

Understand.
But why aren’t the Russians intimidated by a major nuclear power? They deal with Cuba and Venezuela with impunity.
And have the nerve to bitch when we want allies on THEIR border.
Maybe we should have just told the Russians “Get the hell out of Georgia, or we’re invading Cuba!” and if the Russians didn’t heed, attack them on another front closer to our home.
Brilliant idea. Because invading other countries has worked so well for us lately.

I’m not defending NATO or the fact that we basically subsidize European countries that don’t want to spend anything on defense. That’s not the crazy part.
The crazy part would be us chaining ourselves to a reciprocal alliance with third-rate Eastern European militaries that would offer us next to nothing in return for us potentially shedding American blood over their quarrels with Russia. Does that make any sense?
What’s the difference between the Eastern Euro countries now, and the state of the Western Euro countries when we signed on to NATO?
Their militaries are even smaller, and even farther behind the U.S. technologically than Western Europe, which is a generation behind in some areas.
Georgia certainly was.
You’re missing the point. Why are we obligating ourselves to spill American blood for other countries anyway? Why do we have a leftover Cold War alliance to defend against a threat that no longer exists (Russia is not a superpower, its military is poor and relatively weak, its demographics are horrific)? And an alliance, that, Britain, Holland and Canada aside, doesn’t let its troops do much of anything in Afghanistan. The issue is not who should be in NATO, but why NATO should exist at all. Ever read Washington’s farewell address?

I agree with this 100%. I have wanted out of NATO for years.
