The part that is usually missed by those without experience is how much it helps. I thought it would help a lot more TBH. It helps more if you have actual low T, but even then for most it is underwhelming.
The reality is that for most guys, a ton of gear is needed to get a solid 20 lbs of muscle past their natural genetic limit. If you have top 5% genetics, you might get 30 lbs with the same amount of gear, and your natural limit is also higher (these are the guys that look saucy AF when they go on high dosages for long periods of time). With just TRT (and I am not talking about 400 mg/wk “TRT”), these numbers are like 5 lbs and 7 lbs respectively.
If you don’t believe everyone here, give it a try. Do the same thing for diet and training and add in 150 mg/wk for a year. You’ll see that TRT for gains is a stupid trade off.
You have no idea what people here have accomplished while natural. Some of us have been accused of steroid use before going on TRT or using gear. That happened to me several times while I had low T but had cut down to low body fat.
I think this is the part that need to be highlighted the most. Just saying you feel like your test has dipped in a big way is simply ridiculous. I’m more than 10 years older than the OP and I have most of those symptoms they have and have had them since my mid 30’s. This was simply a case of not being 20 any more and having a more stressful life outside of the gym. Work, kids, having to be an adult and maintain a home and provide for a family.
Interestingly I got some bloods checked recently for some other issues and the doctor wanted to check test too, Came back with solid mid to high range results for both total and free test (for my age). Sometimes what we feel and what our bodies are doing are unrelated to hormones. I think the simple question and advise that was in the first response on the thread was spot on.
Just feeling something and self diagnosing is just plain crazy.
Nah, not really. There isn’t a dramatic physical difference between someone who is say 550ng TT and someone who is 1000ng. Studies back this up. You can be looser with your diet and lifestyle maybe. But, you’d need labs to start to find out and it doesn’t sound like you wanna do that. So wouldn’t be calling this TRT, I’d just call it a cruise maybe. Which, like you said, if you want it, you want it. Nothing wrong with that.
