I also love classical music…Brahms, Schummann, all those wonderful composers!!!

well, reluctantly and self-consciously, i will make my first pedantic entry onto T-Nation…likely because i’m drunk, but anyway here goes : brahms and schumann were romantics, not classics…though brahams is arguably the most classically influenced of the romantics…and i make this distinction only because you are a nerd, so i know you’ll want to get it right.

Ha ha, thank you swivel…I should be more precise with my syntax. I was aware they were romantic composers but I find most people only get the idea if I just say “classical” Are you also a fan?

Oh, and Jilly…thanks for the thought…but maybe you better leave the matchmaking for someone else??

Neph isn’t really as hideously ugly as his avatar suggests. Really.

No, no offense to you nephorm…it was actually quite amazing to find someone on this site who says something besides physique is “hot.”

I just found it funny that Jilly was jokingly pairing up someone in Maryland and someone in California…just a FEW miles away???

Distance is no barrier for nephorm!

Hi, everyone. I’ve browsed the site for a long time, but only recently registered and actually started posting. I so appreciate the articles here and learn a lot from the authors’ locker rooms as well.

Here I am after my first (and only, so far) contest. I’m the one on the right.

Fact: I grew up in a town of 300 people.

Judging from your pic, you’re cute as hell. Judging from your avatar, you’re impressive as hell.

Welcome.

Oops, I forgot the random fact. Um, I am studying Electrical Engineering at Stanford because I’m a nerd. :)[/quote]

How is that nerdy? Maybe if you said chemical, biomedical, or aerospace it would be nerdy.

of course you say classical. everyone does…anything else would be ridiculously dorky. i was drunk dammit !

yes i like brahms quite a bit…also villa-lobos, bartok, and stravinsky…still, i usually go straight for the beethoven. i don’t really know schumann, but didn’t he cripple his hands overtraining w/ some sort of home-made 19th century grip master ?

You should listen to Schumann…he was manic depressive and his music shows it…it is really quite fun to listen to. The first symphony is great if you’re hyper. It’s very energetic.

I think it was Schubert who crippled his hands. It was quite a shame. So take heed all you T-Nation enthusiasts who play the piano: you can even overtrain your hands!!!

i will check out that symphony…hmmm wikipedia is down right now…but manic depressive would be the character of someone who screwed up his hands no ? i can’t hear that in schubert…he was so clever and optimistic…manic depression maybe my favorite hendrix tune though. that and crosstown traffic.
