WANTED: All T-Nation Members

This is me with Victor Martinez. I look like I just woke up in the photo, but Victor looks awesome! He was really a super sweet, humble and gracious guy!

I have autoimmune thyroid disease, s/p thyroidectomy and high autoimmune antibodies, which makes it a challenge for me not to be 150# (I’m 5’3")…my metabolism is slow and that sucks. But thankfully, there are resouces like T-Nation that really provide support. And good thing for weight training, that saved my health, it keeps me from feeling too terrible and also keeps the weight off. If it weren’t for heavy weight training, my health would be nowhere as good as it is today, and I’m thankful.

Normally people like me have high cholesterol, overweight, but I have extremely low LDL’s and extremely high HDL’s, great health profile, all thanks to the education, lifestyle, etc. from the bb industry. I’m greatful to the bb industry for drawing my interest way long ago and helping me change my life for the better. I applaud the BB industry for leading the way with many types of lifestyle modification, medical research and other research and implementation.

This is where I live- Kaneohe Bay…

Here’s another photos of where I live, Kaneohe Bay. That little island is called “Chinaman’s Hat” and you can see it from my house.

And another photo of my town, Kaneohe, I live more to the left side of the photo nearer to the bay…

The fact that you modify helicopters for a living is like the cherry topper!

Hello pja!

Yes, the main highway fronting chinaman’s hat, just after passing chinaman’s hat, is approximately where the north shore begins…

Chinadoll- I was lucky enough to do some training at K-Bay back in the fall of '03. It was easily the most beautiful place I had been in my life. You are one lucky woman to be living life there.

Remember, I’m radioactive too…

Stay strong, I’m sure you’ll stomp your illness flat, stick it in an envelope, and send it to those sceptic doctors you deal with. Just be your usual badass self (and that is a good thing).[/quote]

Hey, it’s worked for me so far.

Hey wait a minute…I’m 150#!
Just playing with ya. Actually you and I have opposite problems; me keeping the weight on and you keeping the weight off (BTW what do you weigh now?). However, we share the fact that training has essentially saved our health and allowed us to overcome our conditions and live a more enjoyable life.
Best wishes to you and never stop reaching.

You and Gojira exemplify the “healthy lifestyle” that bodybuilding is suppose to be about. People such as yourselfs should be spokespeople for the fitness industry.
