I am in the IT feild and can tell you if you don’t trust the person you are getting your VPN from then don’t use it. ANYTHING can be make to capture your data. Also the end vpn server can keep your history and all sorts of records of what you are up too.
Also if you don’t trust your friend never let him use your computer/use a strong password/physical access. I can fuck you over so quickly with a few moments of my time that you would not know what hit you.
But if you trust your friend then go for it. Encryption is the best way to tell outsiders to fawk off
Cheers darkninja & dirtman.
Don’t worry, the middle east will beat any sense of humour out of ya in a hurry! Been here too long.
Was talking to another buddy who is using the same log in details. He said that technically the guy that gave us the log in details is not an admin, as he doesn’t own the VPN?? The VPN is called overplay. Can someone explain how he could be spying? You’re sure he can’t get personal details?
I really don’ trust the motherfucker who gave me the details though. He’s strapped for cash & I could easily see him trying to rob me.
I’ve got a VPN with Overplay too (I’m in Kuwait at the moment). As far as I can see, you can’t access a log of website views. But then again, computers passed my by after they introduced the Pentium. Ah, I miss good old DOS…
How very dare you. I’ll have you know it’s nothing of the kind. Trannys aren’t gay, and neither is bestiality.
(actually, it’s mainly so I can check the lottery - the UK lottery now won’t let you access the website from outside the country, but a VPN via a UK server sorts this little problem)

As long as you’re using your OWN pc (providing no one installed some monitoring software on there) no one will spy on you. You, your mate and the rest of the gang using the same VPN account are members of that virtual network and you can do nothing more than they could as if you were connected to a LAN. Think about it; when you use his login details, are you able to check what he’s been up to?
And since, your mate ain’t the admin, you can now chill. However if I were you, I wouldn’t use VPN to enter/send sensitive info unless you’re good at encryption. Save it for the Dolphin Porn. Your mate won’t know.

Provided there is no proxy server inside the LAN of the VPN server recording web traffic and logging info on where you surfing too.
