They’re not elite athletes, but they eat clean and well. WTF is wrong with that?

Crosstards do not = elite athletes.

Exactly. Who the hell would post DoucheFitters talking about what they eat and call them elite athletes? The whole point of DoucheFit is to make sure you’re not good at anything, just okay in some things, like sustaining injuries from performing movements with sloppy form over, and over, and over.

What’s wrong is the post’s title: “What Elite Athletes Eat”. Had it been, “How to eat clean”, no one would complain. The problem, the fundamental problem here, is mistaking CrossFitters for elite athletes.
I bet the girls at 2:00 min are as dumb as they sound

First, I do understand that T-Nation is a bodybuilding forum. I can understand why some of you hate on CrossFit, BUT, not one person in that video was fat.
America is a bunch of fat pieces of shit. If this is what it takes to create a large movement of healthy people, who cares?
well said sir.
a paleo/zone/whatever the fuck you want to call them approach, is 100 times better then what the average inactive person eats, and would dramatically improve their well-being.
oh wait no crossfit is a cult i forgot fuck them.
except you forget the fact that virtually ANYTHING is better than the Standard American Diet (SAD), even diets that contain gasp grains and dairy!!
when your standard diet contains virtually zero fruits or veggies, and is high in sat. fat, trans fat, sugar and nutrient deficient packaged foods, it’s hard NOT to make a change for the better.
oh wait, I forgot, Paleo+Zone is the second coming of Christ. silly me.[/quote]
what’s wrong with saturated fat?
this is all very true man.
never said it was the second coming of christ, so i’m not sure where you got that impression, in fact the zone is pretty ridiculous and way too complicated in my opinion. however i would never dismiss any approach such as the zone or paleo that gets people eating in a better way then they were before. what do you think?

nothing, as long as it’s not the majority of your fat intake like many Americans get
I know Crossfit preaches paleo and zone mostly, but either way, who cares what it’s called. I personally found it interesting how many people mentioned no wheat. Crossfit is intense work outs, so even if you hate crossfit, or think it’s a cult, the diet they go on gives them enough energy to do what they do, with hardly any carbs excepts for fruits and veggies, and no one mentioned a lack of energy.
They probably get by on so few carbs because most of the wrokouts are 10 to 15 minutes.
It may be intense, but I’m in the gym 3 times a week for just over an hour, with about 60 to 90 seconds rest…so I get stupid hungry after those workouts.
You know what guys? Alot of crossfitters do the Anabolic Diet too! Some people on this site have a borderline obsession with crossfit methinks.
what’s wrong with the video? they said lean meat, healthy fats, lot of veggies, carbs peri-workout and avoid sugar?
