Video Games Make You Less Manly?

That’s true. I thought it was pretty funny how he threw all these numbers around about how women are catching up to men in education and in the workforce. I;m thinkin the whole time, “okay so we are actually reaching equality in the work place. That’s fine with me.”

Have you played the battlefield Beta? It’s pretty fun I think.
Fun? It’s parkour with guns! I LOVE IT!

EDIT: omg paintball flashbacks

Sorry, I got caught up looking for pictures of Mexican hillbillies.
Haha, well I saw your ass… who wouldn’t want to own that?

I dug you before your pics though.

Mexican hillbillies are called “beaners”. I can say that because Carlos Mencina does. And I have mexican friends.

You can’t be racist, you banged a Mexican chick once, right?

I’m feeling enraged Christine… j’k. I would totally want to borrow it for a few hours though. I go the vain route no problem.

I have banged a Mexican. How did you know?
Good guess? Do you have a checklist?
And here I thought you were keeping up with my sexual history the scorpion you are.

I don’t have a checklist. I like a free flowing sex life, I’d probably have to get in to scat or gay shit to have any boxes to check though, not interested.

And I have to make a confession along the zodiac point. My sex life is pretty passionate. Even flings. I do get pretty wrapped up in them and it’s always intense but a flash in the pan and on to the next, partly for horny fun of course and partly to avoid a lonely sense of vulnerability.

I’m not jealous though. I’ve only been close to love once and had no desire to see others or be one of a few for her but generally speaking I’m fine with casual booty calls, sharing, trading et cetera. just saying as a point of conversation.

Do you have a checklist? Out of pure curiosity, what are your thoughts on younger guys? And what is your favorite type of beer anyways?

If I had a theme song thread in SAMA mine would be Closer by Kings of Leon, repeated for a new woman every few weeks.

I have the same ‘problem’ with relationships. The guy I am currently seeing complains that I go from hot to cold too quickly. I don’t do it on purpose… I get intense then indifferent.

No problem with younger men.
The girl I felt closest too was similar ftr. And a scorpio. We definitely had intense, passionate moments, cool indifferent moments and tense disagreements. In the end it was a different outlook on life and set of goals that set us on our own way.

I like someone who understands me on that level and isn’t hurt by it, knowing I’ll come around again and am engaged (like in the relationship, not a wedding band type “engagement”) even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes.

I feel like an alley cat. I howl at the moon and piss on my territory but sometimes I just want to hide under the trashcan for no good reason.

It seems hot and cold to most women but really comes from the same place deep down. Can you relate?

And did you listen to my song?

These lines make me dig it:

"Driven by the strangle of vein,
Showin’ no mercy, I’ll do it again.
Open up your eyes,
You keep on crying, baby, I’ll bleed you dry.
The skies are blinkin’ at me,
I see a storm bubblin’ up from the sea.

And it’s coming closer… [2x]

You shimmy shook my bones,
Leavin’ me stranded,
All in love on my own.
Do you think of me?
Where am I now, baby, where do I sleep?"

And then on to the next.
Yes. I can totally relate. I am pretty much that way with all of my relationships. It, understandably, confuses the hell out of people.

Yes, I listened to the song. I liked it.

I don’t remember the RainJack thing. He was a bit over the top, but always fun.

The author also claims that the reason why so many men are unable to find work is because of video games (I guess that GFC thing was just fiction like Global Warming or Evilution!)

Although the stereotypes don’t suggest it, a significant number of gamers are women…

Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when that fog horn blows I want to hear it

I want to rock your gypsy soul

I see your point and agree with you. If you like boxing you should at least try it. I like MMA. So I spent a year doing BJJ, boxing, and wrestling lesson. It was fun, but in total cost over a $1000 dollars. Not everyone has that kind of money to try something out.

The same goes with shooting guns or whatever. These things cost money and have to be available and they just aren’t for everyone.

I personally would rather try something in real life before I tried something on a game, but the reality is it is easier and more cost effective to play a boxing game than to join a boxing gym. The time commitment is also an issue. Maybe your only free time is from 9pm-11pm so your only option is games. I don’t know of many martial arts that instruct that late. My point is priorities come first and video games fit the extra time for relaxing better than joining a football league or what have you.

I agree though people should try things in real life if they can over games, but not everyone agrees with you or I in that regard.
I don’t mean to offend, but these things are all simply excuses - the same excuses that people who want to “get huge” but don’t want to put in the work give us, and we lambaste them for.

Boxing is my hobby one might say. People hear that, and kinda nod their head go “Damn, alright.” It’s a cool thing. Just like how some of the bigger guys get comments about lifting all the time from dudes who are envious or whatever. It’s a thing YOU did, an accomplishment,if you will, that you put in time and earned the right to call yourself a boxer or a bodybuilder cause you been on that grind.

It’s not the same if you say, “Well I play Fight Night a lot.”

I agree shit costs money and it ain’t easy, but that’s life. I go fishing only a few times a year, but there’s no way any video game can come close to being on the Atlantic at 6 a.m. trolling for shark or tuna.

It’s worth me saving that money to DO IT.

What it comes down to is that all those years ago, people lived because there was no other choice. Now they have a choice, and many people are not living… their just pretending too.

And keep in mind, I like video games. I used to play them all time, like any other guy I played Madden with my buddies or whatever… but it really consumed a lot of time and I didn’t like that.
I agree with Irish. If anyone is actually playing games as a substitute for real life experience, they have issues.

I can do tons of shit in video games that I can’t do in real life…but turning that into “well, I can’t find a boxing gym so I’ll just play boxing games” is crazy.

I ride a motorcycle. I would never have bought a game instead of my first bike with an excuse of “well, motorcycles are so expensive…and this game is only 40 bucks!”
I don’t disagree with anyone’s line of thinking, however, the only way I can fly WWII aircraft (or spaceships) is video games (and I guess I’d have to add “kill” “people”).

Now, where did I put that rocket launcher?
