Vices and Indulging

I’ve pretty much given up drinking, but I still really enjoy a cold beer once in a while. My favorites are Odell’s Easy Street and New Belgiums Sunshine Wheat. I just love wheat beers. If I choose to really drink, you can’t beat Jager Bombs (Jager and Red Bull).

As far as vices I am still working on giving up- buffalo wings. I just love fresh, hot buffalo wings from a local place called Jim’s Wings.

A few drinks or a bad meal once in a while won’t kill us.

This is my second day on the website-getting back into the healthy lifestyle. But it’s nice to know folks do imbibe sometimes, too.

I sense a fellow Coloradoan here-wow!! Jim’s Wings is a favorite place for a special “bad meal”. My favorite is the “Ram Hot”. I used to be into 90 Shilling and Fat Tire, but I’m a Guinness girl now. Definitely good stuff. On a crazy night a car bomb or two is pretty fun, too.

Next time I am out east I will be sure to take your advice. Of course, if the Chicken Wings are as good as you say they are, I might have to pack up and move, resign my T-Nation membership, and join Fat Bastards Anonymous!

Okay, you live in Colorado correct?

Let me tell you, come to Buffalo, NY. Doesn’t have to be a long trip - maybe just a weekend - and eat chicken wings (they’re not fuckin buffalo wings, alright?!) at a few restaurants here.

Then tell me about your addiction to chicken wings. Hell, if you think you’ve got it bad now, you’ll probably have to go to chicken wing rehab after you come here.[/quote]

Welcome to T-Nation: its a wealth of information.

As much as I know I shouldn’t be eating wings, I keep finding myself back at good Ol’ Jims.

Lift hard, do your cardio, eat well 99% of the time, and enjoy our favorite restaurant as a reward.

Glad to have ya

I have to admit I am definitely a food and drink snob. French and Quebec cheese, good red wine and Guinness are staples. I like to call them ‘interests’ rather than vices. Moderation of course. But most important is good espresso. As Oscar Wilde said ’ I can resist everything but temptation’.

  1. Beer
  2. More Beer
  3. Eggos with a ton of butter and syrup if it’s morning and I can’t drink beer!!!

Let me tell you guys, it’s pretty tough to stick to a clean diet when you go home and your mom keeps pushing carbombs on you! Crazy lady that one.

Oh hell yes!!! And sesame seeds, although I am good about avoiding both unless they are in moderation.

Trappist style Ales
Gin
Loose women
gambling
breakfast burritos (after the beer and gin)

Every now and again I wash down a handful of ecstasy and LSD tabs with a bottle of bourbon, then base jump off the tallest building I can find, naked, while shooting guns randomly.

  1. Women
  2. Pizza and wings
  3. Family gatherings

Women are fine, and the NEPA certainly doesn’t hurt – but I don’t like to come off as a “sports nerd” when I’m on a date so I normally end up splurging (dietarily and monetarily) a bit. And the lack of sleep and the testosterone drop after ejaculation my physique could do without, I suppose.

Pizza. Mmmmmmmmmm… pizza.

Family gatherings are the devil, if only because of the AMOUNT of delicious foods. Everything is fairly healthy though, except the desserts.

I have no problems avoiding sweets or alcohol unless in a social setting. And wings wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t loaded with flour and sugar in 99% of all restaurants. I’m going to have to buy my own deep-frier someday.

Hehe. Sure seems it. But that’s a good thing.

…rice crispy treats.

on overfeed days i’ve taken out a whole batch. especially if they’re made with cocoa crispies or fruity pebbles. man, that’s trouble…

Well It’s pizza, and spaghetti.

Sometimes at parties I’ll find the liquor room and find a brandy I usually only have a cup of it. Don’t know if that counts as something bad but the other two are bad for me most of the time.
