USA USA!

Canadians are some of the best people on earth, but finding joy in getting crushed? Uh, okay…

Canada is losing the one on one battles…period. Don’t know why.

Miller was awesome.

My boy Jeff Carter should have been on the team. Talked to him yesterday and he just shrugged his shoulders. He’s not bitter, just wished he could help.

Trash talk all you want. Remember this…The American players won the game…not YOU!.

I never get how people say “WE” won the game. YOU were at home on the couch. It’s cool to support your team but get a grip.

Great Olmpics so far U.S.A.

Great game. That Canadian team looked like they dominated most of the game. If Miller had a bad day, that score would have been very different, that guy was a wall in the net. He is definitely trained by ninjas.
It’s been a while since I have seen any NHL games as good as the Olympic games I have seen so far.

Our goalie choice was a bad idea. He wants to go score goals it seems more than trying to stop them…

TSN turning point: The three canadians colliding.

James Bond you’re right

Jeff Carter >>>> Corey Perry

Thornton has to pick up his play. He’s been way too invisible out there. Gotta crash that net Joey!

What a delusional statement.

LOL that you’re so quick to dump your country’s hockey team.

Because the millions of somber canadians last night after the game was because they saw the Canadians lose, not because they felt like their country and in return, themselves lose… rolls eyes

They would have been the first to say “we won” if Brodeur had the ability to go paddle down - and not flop like he’s a bad imitation of the 2006 Czech Republic goalie.

USA plays either Switzerland or Belarus. Russia plays either Germany or Canada. USA won’t have a chance to face Russia, Canada or Germany until the until the finals. Definitely a great game though. Had to watch every second of it.

Dump my team… WTF are you talking about lol.

If my “you” in caps got under your skin it wasn’t to. I just get tired of the comments by guys on the couch going " oh man, we just skated up and down the ice on them, kicked they’re ass dude, pass the dip and chips will ya"

I’ve played hockey all my life and still do…it’s law. If the mens team loses I won’t lose a wink of sleep. Bummed? sure, but I won’t rub peoples noses in it if they win either. Some will, not me.

Your spot on about Brodeaur…probably his last game in net anyway. I think someone told him spring training started this week and he got excited on the one play.

As far as I’m concerned this was THE game. Maybe not played for a medal, but it sure feels like WE won one.

When will Hockey Canada learn not to over-analyze their choices for a team, pick the players who are peaking, the olympics are every 4 years for christ sakes! enough with the token “leadership” and “experience” on our roster, sometimes old is just that, old. I hope we place 4th (AKA Canadian Gold). Someone please tell me why pronger and niedermeyer are at theses games? Pronger was too slow four years ago and niedermeyer is having a garbage season and doesn’t play defense anyway. Martin st louis, and steve stamkos are 6 and 7 in points this year, brad richards is 11th, and since niedermeyer is intent on playing center, why not have mike green on the back end, at least he produces! I predict a Turin 2.0, please guys make me eat my words.

When the last goal was scored I was away from the TV, and thought for sure Canada tied it up.

Now I hope the win doesn’t make the team too cocky.

They got lucky. Get over it. Miller can’t steal all the games. Anyone that knows anything about hockey knows that. When they meet up with Canada or Russia later in the touney, it will be a rude awakening…

Amen to that.

I was convinced that if Joe Sakic played this year they would have given him a lifetime achievment award spot on the team…face/palm.

Just to make it clear, I’m dumping ON Canada’a hockey team…not dumping them. Know what I mean;)

The broadcast team also made a comment about the average age of the USA team as opposed to the Canadian team. The problem was that Brodeur just had a bad game. If he played like everyone knows that he can, then they likely would have won. I don’t think Miller could have played any better than he did and I think Brodeur could have stopped some of those. I think he just had a bad couple of games. And I also would not want to see the USA team face them again later. They will definitely be coming with a score to settle. But Canada needs to get past Germany and the Russians first to stay in it. And, on the other side, the USA team has some work to do too to get to that point.

Only a fool bets against the United States of America.

you were outshot 2-1…you are damned fortunate Miller is on top of his game, cause the rest of the team doesn’t belong on the same rink.

Course, Canada has stolen many a game riding on the back of a hot goalie, so no news here.

Surprised none of you have called it ice hockey yet.

On a happier note…The Canadian Mens Curling Team is undefeated…
