M’kay. When you think about it, most of stuff that can actually make you a fat ass if you overuse or even use them, came from the USA.

Oh, oh !! Rammstein - Amerika
YAY : ))

“These are the last days, black plagues, mass graves
Half the slaves, aids, cascades, black parades
Backpack strapped grenades, brazen acts of rage, accolades” - Jus Allah

lol im kidding about the above quote. i hope my argument didnt sound remotely as negative. really when i say im just going off the facts im being honest. i wouldnt want to live anywhere but america right now. still it has flaws though and trying to be honest about them and fix them is as american as it gets.

I recently attended a two week course that discussed, among other things, the original topic. One block of instruction was titled “The Generational Model of Millennials” and relied heavily on data from two books- ‘Generations: The History of America’s Future’ and ‘Millennials Rising’ both authored by William Strauss and Neil Howe. Millennials are defined as those from age 4-28 (Gen X’ers are 29-44, Boomers are 45-63 etc).

Observations from Basic Training Cadre Members (US Army only) on this generation:
-Quit more easily (Contract with military isnt binding; the military is only one of many options- quitting isnt viewed as failure like in previous generation)
-Cannot take an ass chewing (Millenials grew up in household with less directive nature than parents/live on first name basis with parents, who ask for compliance rather than demand it)
-Lack of comfort receiving and issuing directives (Relates directly to the above- everyone is a peer; Company grade-level leadership is same age as the Millennial enlistee and they find it extremely difficult to take orders)
-Instruction must cater to shorter attention spans (Everything in our society caters to this; shopping, dining, and learning experiences reinforce this).

The US Army Directorate of Basic Combat Training did a study at Fort Jackson between Dec 08 and Aug 09 on who the enlistees are, why they enlisted, what they expected, and how they react to different strategies. Admittedly, the Basic Combat Training experience is significantly different at Fort Benning/Fort Sill/Fort Knox- but nonetheless. I listed Male only data- I can provide data on Females.

Males average age: 22.3
Education: GED 17%, High School Diploma 40%, Some College 37%, 4 year degree 5%
Before BCT: School Only 7%, Work Only 48%, School and Work 28%, Nothing 15%

Physical Fitness:
Made effort to gain weight before BCT: 27% of Males
Made effort to lose weight before BCT: 44% of Males
Made effort to get stronger/build muscle: 84%
Routinely engaged in physical activities: 62%

Lifestyle History:
Tobacco User: 57%
Milk Daily: 45%
Fruit Daily: 65%
Vegatables Daily: 51%
Aerobic exercise 3xweek/20+min: 54%
Resistance Training x2 week: 39%
Varsity sport in HS/College: 53%
Fast Food Consumption (Y/N): 88% (from 1x month to 7x day)

Why they enlisted (again, Males only):
To support myself/family: 28%
To Challenge/Improve Myself: 24%
To Serve My Country/Be a Soldier: 20%

-Not going to list the other reasons which range from boredom/get in shape/family tradition, etc.

Entry Level Fitness (taken within first 72 hours):
Median Pushups One Minute: 28
Median Situps One Minute: 27
Median One Mile Run Time: 7:38 min

Do you think Deorum realizes that I was making fun of him for being small and childish, along with not having an ability to critically think?

Deorum, the discussion you raised is a serious one, in which relatively smart people should participate.
Do you really want to convince people without being able to write correct English (or American if you want)?

You seriously just implied that he “writes correct English?” He hasn’t even discovered his shift key yet.

And Deorum, didn’t you know that the best way for someone to spend their time is to disprove an internet conspiracy theorists ideas all day?

Dammit dammit dammit, here I go wasting my time. I’ll give you a quick example of what I mean, and I hope that you’re smart enough to use that to analyze the other articles on your own, mainly the last one. Your first link has nothing to do with the argument that you’ve created. All that is proves is that Saddam was not behind 911. Okay, we’ve all known that for a long time. You’ve just asked for proof that Al Queda exists, and short of going to Afghanistan and looking around myself, the best that I can do is tell you to watch the news or to talk to someone who’s been there and has first hand experience dealing with the people there. I don’t even know how to start on how ridiculous it is to think that either Al-Qaeda or the Taliban don’t exist. Maybe the fact that thousands of Al-Qaeda members have been captured by our own forces.

As for the American government already having plans drawn up to invade Afghanistan, I say “not surprising.” Our government, if they’re halfway smart, probably has plans drawn up to invade dozens of countries if needed. There’s probably an entire government office somewhere dedicated to drawing up invasion/war plans against countries that are over a certain threat level for us. Add that to the fact that we have a pretty good intelligence agency working for us, and you get that maybe the U.S. government was suspecting that something might happen (which I’ve actually read was the case, I think that might be common knowledge too).

/time vampire. Dammit.
