It’s one of those shows that manages to sail through seasons based on a main character who is interesting enough to compensate for the rest of the cast being extremely generic and useless at the jobs they are playing.
You’d seriously think none of them have had a badge before that particular episode based on the way they handle shit and can’t keep up.
I agree we need to get the Red John thing over with… and I also think they should drop the ‘red’ references from all the episode titles just because it is getting a little silly.
But, Agent Lisbon is probably my favorite looking female out of the shows I watch. Would def smash.
Anthony Bourdains No Reservations
Top Chef
Top Shot
Supernatural (this season kinda sucks)
Walking Dead
Archer
And to be honest (local NEWS) hate cable news shows. Its not news its Commentary.
Shows that Have fallen so far off I may stop watching are
(almost all the Fox Cartoons)
Sons of Guns is one big Bull Shit factory now. The first season then it went downhill.

Family Guy has been embarrassingly awful for a few seasons now.
It’s so bad that it has actually ruined the entire show for me.
Mediocre South Park episode > any Family Guy episode

So true it hurts to read.
The start of this season of Family Guy was like watching a Dif show. I mean what was with all the Drama episodes. I thought I was watching the Oprah Network Version of these shows. It just sucked.

I can’t decide whether or not they’re just cashing in for as long as possible or if they’re under contract to keep churning out episodes despite running out of material. I can’t really blame them in either case (even though they have two other shows to fall back on for the former).
But the thing is, it’s not just that it’s “not funny”, where I could chalk it up to new writers, a creative slump or whatever… a lot of the jokes, to me, just reek of them not even trying to hit our funny bones. It’s just time-filler.
This exchange reminded me of how much I want to see “The Book of Mormon”.

HA, I hear it’s a good show
I keep seeing previews for a show called “Awake”.
Premise seems interesting.
Anyone watching it?

I think one guy commented on it earlier in this thread … The premise bugs me.
I can’t get over the fact that they still let him perform his duties as a cop.

From the previews I’ve seen, that seems to be a plot point: whether or not he can continue to do his job as a cop. So it’s not like they’re ignoring it. I’m going to wait and see how it’s reviewed.

Awake: like it so far; enjoyed the first two episodes…although confused by last night’s ending (last two minutes or so).

Yep, and I love it. Turned my 17 year old on to it as well. Two thumbs up from me. Very well done.

The girlfriend figures they’re both dead, and his superiors are fucking with him in the background.
I figured his life with that captain (tough lady cop), partner (black guy), and alive family member (wife)*, is his awake life.
His superiors are still fucking with him though, so they can twist it anyway they please.
