Tuition is Too Damn High

I thought most of them looked pretty decent. However, I do agree with the article that for the sake of balance, more conservative ideas should be in universities.

Sure, but I just don’t understand why funding is put towards courses that offer nothing in the way of landing a job after school.

Because universities aren’t simply vocational schools. Also there is value in learning things that don’t directly equate to economic gain. That being said people should realize that certain majors don’t generally end in lucrative career offers.

Most people who go to college do not start small businesses. And many who attend do not belong. They need to go to a good trade school or get some other source of income. They are not college material.

When has it ever been expected that every man and woman should go to college? It’s a dumb liberal fantasy.

This is somewhat true…kind of a shock that I am largely in agreement with you, however its not simply caused by liberals. There are many jobs out there that people with high school diplomas or perhaps a 2 year program could easily be taught the necessary skills on the job however the people hiring want a college degree.

Also I think there is a perception issue thats not solely caused by liberals. While a good plumber can make as much or more than a lawyer you don’t have as many parents saying hey grow up to be the plumber. Its not just liberals that turn their nose up a bit at the trades.

I think public universities should operate more like public schools up the secondary level.
As well if you are paying taxes in the state there is no reason you shouldn’t be able to take a continuing education class or two at a public school for a tuition cost that won’t break the bank. That time is largely gone in my opinion.

I’d take it a step further. At 9nth grade, decide whether a kid goes to a vocational high school, or a college prep high school.

Obviously not, because these days if you demand the hole you are oppressing her and if you deny her the income you are oppressing her too and if you find another hole that seems to be willing you are a pig that does not value the relationship enough.

Its more like, marriage gives you the right to petition to have access to a specific hole.

You pay a lot of money for the right to beg for pussy.

Sounds awesome, lets do this.

I would hate to imagine what kind of relationships have driven you into the cold embrace of lonely cynicism, but I laughed.[/quote]

Hey friend come back and visit this thread in 25 years. All I can say is I hope you are one of the fortunate ones at that point of your life and not like the guy in the picture living alone with his pet bird. ahahahah

Not sure what’s being said here, but my point in this thread is that romantic and sexual relations between men and women in the year 2013 are, in my experience, excellent.

College education is harmful to women.

It causes 90% of them to end their marriages.

I’m simply saying wait until your older and the romance has gone. Let’s hope you picked a good one that is loyal to you no matter what and not like 8 time Mr.Olympia Ronnie Coleman’s wife who is leaving him. You’ll see soon enough what I meant.

The shamed sportsman, who was exposed for his serial cheating behind Elin’s back in 2009, is desperate to win her back, the magazine claims, offered a $200 million prenup to the stunning Swede.

And she is said to be considering the proposal, but only if he includes a $350 million anti-cheating clause.
Elin, 33, who had children Samantha, five, and three-year-old Charlie with the ace, won a $110 million settlement when she divorced Woods.

Now she is said to feel the new deal, worth more than half of Woods’ $600 million, would be enough to keep him from cheating again."

At the risk of committing full on heresy, I’ve heard told that this model is, for the most part, followed in most parts of Europe.

I would agree that by and large, college degrees are pushed onto way too many kids in the US.

I went to high school in Spain. They split us up after what is in the US 10th grade–vocations or academics, more or less. I think it’s probably for the better in many cases.

They decided not to do that in the US because it was decided it was racist since minorities usually ended up in vocational schools. Education… another victim of the PC police.

Well, with too people so exclusively focused and deeply committed to their careers they can equally cheat on each other as their busy schedules permit.

She seems a better match for him.
