Trying to Influence Your Child's Music Tastes?
roguevampire wrote:
And I wouldn’t expect a black chick to be into rock. thats almost unheard of. lol. go back and listen to your ghetto rap, lol.
You just had to go there, RV. You really had to. Such a shame.

By the way, I’m in my twenties and as a black chick, I do love some of my ‘‘ghetto rap’’. But I also dig metal. I get my Deadlifts, Bench and Squats PRs by listening to Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. I’m also into metalcore.

And do you know why? Because my parents listened to all music genres and didn’t shelter me from genres they deemed not appropriate for my cultural background and race. You should do the same with your daughter. Hopefully she won’t grow up as closed minded as you are.

That and peanut butter.

Hey, two out of every other invention, ever, ain’t that bad.

Discuss…
Google black inventors and inventions and you’ll realize how stupid that comment was, but you are a testament to the American media and school systems acclompishing their goal of brainwashing you into thinking we’ve always only been fast running heathens.
BLOOD BANKS RV!

Peanut butter is number 2.

Yes, i do. soft rock came from blacks. I understand that. Little richard, chuck barry, etc… But, thats a far cry from metallica, black sabbath. black sabbath are godfathers or heavy metal. blacks did not invent hard rock or heavy metal. i beleive iron butterfly was one of the first of the metal bands, if they are considered metal.

But we all know, what little richard or chuck barry did, elvis put them all to shame. so did jerry lee lewis.
I see what Roybot’s saying even more, now.

You trollin’ bastard.
No shit. This is my first dip in the whole RV thing and Roybot ruins it for me right outta the gate, fuckin’ jayzuz.

no, thats just twilight. real vampires are brutal creatures. nice when they choose to be, but can also be the most evil sons of bitches you will ever meet.
If you know as much about vampires as you do zombies, RV has a fight on his hands.

Folks that know music do. Ask Jimmy Page who his favorite artists are, blues players hands down.
Id take the blues over rap or hip hop any day of the week. Id take country or even classical music over that crap.
Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s crap.

Definitely. He said he liked Jimi Hendrix but disliked R&B; he started a thread to howl about how young 'uns in general don’t know who Led Zep are, but they’re still, according to him, a universally known band. He also implied in another thread that 1/3 of Lynerd Skynerd (sic) died of a drug overdose; in spite of his apparent inability to spell, he deals very well with one of the most misspelled words in the English language: parallel.

That sort of ignorance is deliberate.
Dude, you have me confused with someone else. I never ever said anything about how lynnyrd skynyrd died. the lead singer and others died in a plane crash, thats well known.
I don’t think that was a racist comment. my experience tells me, that black people, by and large, are not into hard rock or heavy metal.
I give you that RV. But that’s plain ignorance.

You should get out more, explore, and go to rock and metal festivals. You’ll be as shocked as an ignorant black man going to a Wu Tang clan concert and seeing loads of white guys reciting a favourite track’ lyrics as the gang raps on the stage.

I know you are. And death by plane crash has absolutely nothing to do with musicians dying at their own hand, but you tried to establish a link anyway.
