Try SARMs

Alright. What would you consider such a cycle to be like?

Would maintaining E2 at appropriate levels be difficult for an AI and AAS naive guy like myself?

Would it be a better idea to avoid altogether?

Thanks, I appreciate the help.

@Apoklyps , did you ever try Ostarine? I started a couple of weeks ago, and so far, love its effects.

For what it’s worth, I just recently finished an 8 week OSTA cycle at 30mg p/day. Overall, I was impressed with the results. I used it as part of a mild cutting cycle and went from 196lbs at 12% BF down to 192lbs at 9%. Nutritionally speaking, I was eating right around 2800cals p/day (normal cals are around 3300 p/day) with a few cheat meals every week.

Here’s a recap of my experience:

The good news:

  • Strength improved (especially on Oly lifts like squats and deadlifts)
  • Muscle pumps were impressive
  • Endurance was awesome. I felt as if I could keep lifting and lifting and lifting
  • DOMS was non-existent!!! Muscle soreness vanished. No matter how hard I trained, no matter the volume, no matter the load, I would wake up the next day as if I hadn’t lifted the night before. This was by far the most impressive component of my OSTA cycle.
  • Muscle definition was great! Even at 9% BF I looked dry and vascular and my abs were very visible.

The bad news:

  • OSTA is absolutely suppressive. Ran blood tests after my cycle and T-levels had dropped down to 60. Libido was basically non-existent in weeks 7 & 8. Do not do OSTA w/out a test booster.
  • Joints were extremely painful. I would definitely recommend some kind of on-cycle joint support.
  • Strangely, my blood results showed estrogen at 11 (which the doctor said was very low). So there’s no need to run an AI for a PCT.

That about covers it. Hope this helps. Good luck, man!

I feel the SAME way with all the positives. Week 3 already noticing a drop in libido, but no DOMS and no joint pain. I read somewhere it might be good to run PCT to re-balance Estrogen.

Definitely feel the endurance boost too. Kinda scary about the T effects though. I’m hoping it won’t drop since I have nowhere to go but UP with lean gains. Thanks for the update.

That sounds fucking terrible. Best case scenario, it sounds like you dropped 5 lbs of fat and gained 1 lbs of muscle over the course of 2 entire months. That could have been done naturally… and you wouldn’t have had to spend the money, or tank your T levels, or have shitty joints. Any benefits you got out of the ostarine will be short lived, since your results were so minimal. You’ll likely be in the same place you started, post-pct.

I seriously can’t get over how awful this sounds.

I don’t disagree with you…especially the part about the results being short lived. Obviously, the most worrisome side effect is the suppression. Which sucks b/c all of the literature and hype surrounding OSTA claims it isn’t suppressive which just isn’t true. I would definitely take a different nutrition approach next time around with the hopes of adding more muscle.

In my case, my estrogen levels never spiked. But, as with any drug, results and sides are dependent on the user. However, looking back now I probably should have had a good PCT ready to go after the end of my cycle. In my defense, all the hype surrounding OSTA claims you don’t need to run one. But I should have erred on the side of caution.
