Trump: The Third Year

Interesting article written by the man who had filed FOIA requests and sued the state department over these details before this was a big story.

By all accounts he doesn’t appear to be a Trumpkin hack. No matter what this does to Trump, it won’t be good for Biden. Which is interesting because I think Warren is the stronger candidate. Is nuking Biden this early a good idea?

I am just sick of the MSM printing something hot like they are on fire and then issuing the retraction the next day. They clearly haven’t learned a damn thing. Now the Ukraine story is blowing up in their faces because it wasn’t true. It’s becoming a pandemic a standard practice. Print shit, see if it sticks, retract on page 74.
What happened to real sources, journalism and fact checking?

When I heard all the Ukraine crap, I was like, ok let’s wait a day, sure enough retractions from most of the major news producers most notably the NYT.

So Congress want’s to pursue impeachment over it? Nothing will help Trump more than a failed impeachment process.
I guess it’s an impeachment waiting for a reason. Trump’s motorcade hits a squirrel and it’s off to hysteria land, again.

I think Warren might be a stronger candidate but less likely to win the election if that makes any sense. Most of what Biden has going for him are what you can’t attack him on. Hard to paint him as a die hard socialist or some type of radical. He’s old and a bit loony but Trump is both of those.

Biden probably won’t excite the left like Warren would but they don’t need to be excited. They are coming out in droves to vote against Trump as much as for whoever they pick. I feel like team Trump would much rather go against Warren than Biden.

Does he actually show these documents or does this Trumpkin simply refer to them?

Are you repeating something you heard from the news that you claim you don’t follow?

So what are your assessments of the facts that we currently have?

That there is nothing there. The whistleblower was wrong about the call, his sources were weak hearsay at best and the transcript, debunks it.

And like any good Mafioso…Trump will be in the clear once again…

This case adds one more Rorschach test to Trump’s list of them.

It’s endlessly entertaining. If for no other reason than this, i’ll be sad to see him go

Interesting. You say the NYT retracted its story (even though you don’t read it) and that the whole thing has been proven to be nothing and all of these Dems are running for cover. Yet, the truth is that I don’t see any retraction by the NYT, I see the opposite. I don’t see anyone saying the whistleblower was wrong (and in fact, given there was a phone call and the White House released a transcript, the whistleblower was right). I don’t see Dems running from this supposed non story.

Where do you get your news from since you admitted you don’t follow the news? Do you just imagine what is going on?

He doesn’t know what the facts are. It’s pat; facts just get in the way of his truth.

Great job, you proved what I suspected - you don’t know the facts, but more importantly, you don’t care. Thanks anyway - I’ll find someone who can actually think for themselves.

The trick is to start a thread where you’re in SUPPORT of Trump. Needing to disagree liberals as a basic point of business is a hella trick.

That’s how I got him to disagree with himself about Muslims in that one thread, by quoting his own message back to him only for him to disagree with it.

Solomon doesn’t seem to have read any materials in Russian and is using materials prepared by Firtash’s team (aka we’ll produce any affidavit / statement thay can say whatever you’d like) to produce to an uninformed observer a plausible narrative.

But it falls apart at the slightest scrutiny. It would be cute how naive some of the paragraphs are:

The memo also quoted the Americans as saying they knew Shokin pursued an aggressive corruption investigation against Burisma’s owner, only to be thwarted by British allies: “These individuals noted that they had been aware that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine had implemented all required steps for prosecution … and that he was released by the British court due to the underperformance of the British law enforcement agencies.”

First of all, this memo was prepared by Firtash aka business associate of the boss of bosses of the Russian mafia and it sensationally exonerates an individual who is still on his payroll. Quelle surprise.

“Underperformance of British law enforcement agencies”. That’s rich. “Intrepid” prosecutor Shokin personally forbade any Burisma documents requested by the Brits from being sent to London to shield in order to thwart their investigations. It was a 24/7 news cycle in Ukraine how Shokin is protecting Burisma.

The memo provides a vastly different portrayal of Shokin than Biden’s. And its contents are partially backed by subsequent emails from Blue Star and Buretta that confirm the offer to bring Ukrainian authorities to meet the Obama administration in Washington.

Again, a spectacularly corrupt former communist official who stole millions is being portrayed by Solomon as an “intrepid prosecutor who pursued an aggressive investigation into Hunter Biden”. That’s beyond laughable.

However, it’s great fake material for conservative conspiracies and for angry uncles to shout over Thanksgiving table.

I think many people underestimate the level of corruption that Baltic states have at the highest posts. We take for granted the rule of law in the West, but it doesn’t exist as we know it in those areas.

So weird. I asked this earlier, but our pro-Trump brigade seems to have suddenly gotten bashful. Hey Trumpkins, any takers? Looking forward to it.

Are you being ironic with this statement? The west is just better at putting a happy face on its corruption. The mafia becomes unions and buys legitimate businesses to launder through (waste management/casinos etc…). Bribery becomes PACs. I could go on.

So in your opinion is the investigative journalist who has exposed incompetence in the Bush administration just inept in this instance? Part of the cover up? Just seems odd he’d choose now to not vet his sources after a career of doing so.

The mafia does not exist.
