At the end of the day we’re talking about a grown man who holds our highest office that people thought might needed to be shielded from a ship that bears a dead mans name.
What in the actual fuck? I swear if I’m the Dem nominee I might just say John McCain a million times in a debate and see what it nets me.
Again, nothing unusual. The communist dictator of Bulgaria, Todor Zhivkov once spotted from his motorcade a carpenter’s shop whose owner had the same surname as his would-be assassin from ten years prior. He threw a tantrum and had a bunch of people imprisoned (including the unfortunate carpenter) and forbade any government financed infrastructure projects in the entire province, a ban which endured until the fall of communism.
Well, corporations pay almost $100 billion less into Treasury as a result of the tax cut bill, but the good news is that corporations took all that extra money and put it into capital expenditures that are generating so much economic activity that revenue is…wait, say again? Oh, well. Shit. Never mind. Big corporations took all that money and gave it to shareholders.
So weird. It’s almost as if supply-side economics doesn’t work. Or something.
When all is said and done…Sarah Sanders will be rolling in the dough from all of the offers from Conservative Think Tanks, Book and Speaking offers, etc.
Also…she can’t help but continue to defend Trump when she leaves…since she was perhaps his number one Lap Dog…
But hey…she will be laughing all the way to bank…and will probably make more than I will ever make in my Lifetime.
In equal fairness, aren’t revenue’s froms corps actually down overall and the current slight increase was shown to be propped up by the 1 time flood of money back into the us from europe et Al?
To scientifically prove, absolutely. But we don’t need to see the receipts to know 3 and change % growth can’t cover the delta of the tax cut %.
Edit: although I concede most of the hype will be overblown. Considering the number of companies who’s tax rates were already so low some of the cut is nullified
I’m not so much worried about it in a booming economy. I’m just worried about the next crash with the leanest tax rate in US history
And here we have a Republican President - remember, the party of freedom, I’m told - now accusing newspapers of treason for reporting stories he doesn’t want them to.
You know what is impossible for me to even fathom, @thunderbolt23?
What would have happened if President Obama would have said a fraction of the things that Trump has said and done. (Heck…he was nearly tarred, feathered and hung for his off-the-cuff “Guns and Bibles” remark).
And where is that “America of the Founder’s/Uphold the Constitution” Tea Party when Trump does and says what he does?
At the time, I remember some saying the tea party and others had an issue with Obama’s race. Of course they said race had nothing to do with it. I wasn’t fully convinced at the time that race wasn’t a factor and looking back I’m even less convinced.
