Trump: The Third Year

Lolol. Please let this be an actual quote.

God help the GOP if they publicly try to fix the HC system before the election hits with a Dem House.

This may be the only thing that saves us from Trump “fixing” Health Care…

(And before anybody says it…yes…things CAN be made much worse…)

Nah he’ll just EO it like Obama did. Trump’s people won’t really care but it’ll put a lot of “executive overreach” Congress people in the crosshairs.

Plus he can’t actually fix it without heavily regulating the industry. Which he won’t do

“EO” it?

(Oh…“Executive Order”…)

Agree, @pfury

What scares me is that for some reason Trump has a Stick up is Ass about President Obama (and McCain, and Clinton, and, and, and…)

It’s almost like he doesn’t want the man to have ever existed.

Acting on that type of obsession can only lead to “fixes” that hurt a lot of people…

Yeah I’m guessing this is just Trump talking to talk. Discussing health care is really not a way for Republicans to have success in 2020 unless they are going to completely flip how they have been talking about it in recent years.

Sticking to things like build the wall (which I don’t even think they want to do but want to keep talking about), and hammering AOC with a big mix of saying socialism every other word.

Democrats would absolutely love Republicans to jump back into a health care debate.

This.

Love her or hate her…Pelosi knows the politics of Health Care…

I think their current plan is to have the AG back off defending O-Care in court and waiting for a SC repeal.

That was basically the Obama approach for the DOMA.

He can then say ‘promise kept.’

I thought that was already happening?

It is. But he’s just forcing congress’s hand with that move.

Tanking Obamacare is very very risky considering how many of Trump’s base uses it.

Especially in the same year he elbow dropped so many poor people’s tax returns

It’s interesting how Trump (and many of his followers) seem to ignore this fact…

They ain’t on that Obama care. They’re on the state stuff!

(yeah, I’m being ridiculous)

Where are these numbers available, out of curiosity?

My parents have a mixed bag on socialized med. Mom has had good using medicare but Dad has had bad using VA.

This was actually my uncle before learning his ACA was the same thing as Obamacare back when Trump got elected and repeal talks were starting.

By political party you won’t find much (duh).

Typically it’ll be looked at by state alongside relative political breakdown in the state.

I like maps like this

It is stunning that any party wants to touch it. It poisons every congress that attempts it.

Are you talking about Health Care, @Legalsteel?

If so…I agree with you 100%.

Why the two sides can’t deal with small pieces of Health Care at a time; on a Bi-Partisan Basis; is beyond me…

It’s because you can’t fix health care without massive regulation and socializing it. There’s a reason nobody on the planet can make a free market solution work.

ACA was a silly half measure that was doomed to fail (imo) and Republicans wouldn’t dream of it.

(Unless you’re Trump. Right…)

Agree, @pfury.

That may be a tough pill for many to swallow…but it’s the truth…

I was indeed.
