Thank you for that. Yeah, definitely not pro trump and certainly not straight ticket Republican (looking into TRT and the steroid control act is so retarded) I just enjoy the gamesmanship of it all. It’s not what you know, it’s what you can prove.
Btw another angle that hit me. They hit the one corrupt thing trump allegedly did where he was going after his corrupt opponents. So every time they talk about it they have to talk about the Bidens. Unless they wanted Lizzy Warren this was a mistake.
Why couldn’t they just go after him on the corrupt DC hotel thing or something where his base wouldn’t be energized by his actions? “Yeah! You get Biden!”
Yes, I have in reading back through, and apologies @Basement_Gainz for treating you as such. And I don’t disagree it’s a high burden (and should be) - what I try to point is that every pro-Trump argument on this issue requires a benefit of the doubt for Trump that simply isn’t justified.
Sure it’s ok for a president to work with other countries to root out corruption - that’s fine in the abstract, but the facts and the context make it simply unbelievable that that was Trump’s motive here. Not only has he not given a damn about taking on corruption in three years of serving as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, he himself has engaged in the kinds of acts that get you investigated for corruption (see G-7 summit at Doral, for example). No one can seriously contend he is an anti-corruption president. As a result, how does he get the benefit of the doubt?
Since all minds are made up, Dems have the votes, and Schiff/Pelosi have maneuvered this into a one sided exercise in both fact finding and disclosure, l think the country is better served by an immediate passage of Impeachment.
Fox News rules the media, conservatives largely rule the courts, up to the Supreme Court, so besides academia, 2/3 of those are absolutely not things liberals can just fall back on.
Have you ever heard of the national lawyers guild and the ABA? 100% left. In case you didn’t notice progressives are laying the groundwork to pack the court with new justices.
Fox news may be the top cable network, but there are still way more media outlets that skew left.
Considering conservatives are losing the demographic battle and will soon be irrelevant… probably not. Texas and Florida are being turned blue slowly but surely.
@Basement_Gainz
Friend, you have been trolled by a pack of leftists all day.
Compare your post length, citation, attempt to dialogue, lack of invective on your part, and how you are basically holding multiple discussions every single post.
It’s not about how many networks there are, it’s about how many people watch the network, and Fox gets more than all the others combined, meaning they are by far the most powerful.
And the ABA targets people with a biased and partisan history of votes. Gorsuch has such a history, Kavanaugh could go both ways depending on who you believe. Neither of them would be in office anyway, if Republicans hadn’t pulled the greatest stonewall in American history by not even talking to the REPUBLICAN MODERATE that Obama nominated, so let’s not forget that either.
You mean the professional association that rates judges that Congress is free to ignore in voting on judges?
“It’s the persecution complex, stupid.”
“Conservatives” have become that which they claim to despise - persecuted snowflakes that need the world to be modified in the name of fairness to make sure they feel validated.
Your statement absolutely incorrect about Fox.
AM network news 11,000,000
PM network news l dont consider overskewed but over 16,000,000
Daytime avg cable Fox 1,400,000, MSNBC 880,000, CNN 624,000
Primetime Fox 2,400,000, MSNBC 1,500,000, CNN 1,000,000
Late night - massively liberal
Social media you pick it, they are liberal - Google, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo,
Traditional news print virtually all Liberal now
Newspaper probably a tossup, but flagships leading charge la times, nyt, wapo
Radio mostly conservative
And this is all market driven - so why are you complaining about it?
If consumers think the NYT is too liberal, they will stop reading it. That it exists isn’t an affront to humanity.
I personally don’t like this rise of “news media” slanted with a bias, but it’s not like it’s state mandated. It’s market-driven, reflecting consumer preference. Liberal papers exist because liberals want them - it’s not a conspiracy against the Right.
