Coupled with Trump’s immigration restriction is lowering taxes by something like 15%. By being taxed less, firms will have more money to pay employees, invest in growth and hire new employees. It all has to work in harmony.
I’m not saying it will be problem free, but let’s be honest about something. Guys like you (small businesses) may create jobs but you also destroy a lot of jobs as in they’re not long lasting jobs. Big corporation job creation is much more permanent nature. Forcing big corps to hire Americans while taxing them considerably less will lead to more job creation even if some small businesses dependent on illegal labor might suffer.
Guess I’m just confused. The article you posted says starting pay is 14.90/hr (or 60% increase over the state’s minimum wage).
It would seem this industry is ALREADY paying a wage that could be lived upon, yet the industry still struggles to fill postings with American employees. Do you have an acceptable limit at which you’re okay with letting an industry die/suffer because the financials don’t support American employees?
And giant corporations dont do residential remodeling so theres that… Before a small biz can be a giant corporation it starts out as a small biz… So if small biz cant exist then I guess we all just live in corporate America and are doomed to being worker bees…Seems un American to be anti small biz…
What jobs are we destroying the ditch digging union? There is a labor union which is sucked up by commercial contractors… So in your idiocy I should pay a guy 40K yr salary to be a laborer for me 1-2x per week as I dont need him 40hrs per week??? Yea sure I’ll get right on it just after I poor acid on my taint… You know besides corporate America we exist and without us small businesses America would suck we do employee folks and make it possible for folks to have goods services and homes… I take it you prefer wall st over main st to each his own…
Corporations are already passing a big portion of the cost on the rest of society. We are already paying for illegals through welfare (a lot of welfare is aimed at working poor), taking funds away from American children and instead using it to teach illegal children English.
American subsets of industries die when they’re unable to keep up with low costs. This will happen more frequently if you crack down on illegals as they reach breaking points to have to close down or outsource. Do you see this as collateral damage, and if you do, is there a limit to it?
I’m not sure how I’m being dramatic when I haven’t said whether or not I’m even personally worried, but I guess it’s good to know I won’t get an answer.
I don’t have sympathy for them at all. Fiscally I’m more than conservative enough to let every industry that relies heavily on illegals to completely die and I’ll still sleep like a baby.
He doesnt see it or get it… As a business guy if you make a product for $50 and sell it for $60 proffit is $10…If it costs you $60 you go where you can make it for less…This is what we in business call a “no brainer”
Yes USA can tax those companys but large corps are global so they will just pass the cost to consumer and continue to distribute products world wide… I e tax is 10% increase is 10%
