With the way they’re going after Ivanka Trump’s businesses, can you imagine what they would have done to Trump and the Trump organization had he lost???
He might have arguably risked what he spent decades building by running for president
Lets not kid ourselves. Trump’s entire family with all of it’s business, all that matters is the BRAND. Trump doesn’t sell a single product that’s the best, or the most cost effective, or the anything. By running for President he ultimately decided that he was comfortable putting his brand on the line.
Hang on to your ass for just a moment–I would hate for you to laugh it off, only to realize the joke’s on you.
Does the 2A refer to a ‘militia’? Or–and this is key–does it refer to a well-regulated militia? That is obviously a rhetorical question, but this next one is not: In this context, what does the term well-regulated mean?
Would be convenient for you to be able to dismiss my comments out-of-hand by labeling me a Marxist, wouldn’t it? Sorry to disappoint, but I’m afraid it’s a vast misstatement of my political orientation. I’m just a typical center-left American.
Well-regulated in 1700’s =/= what you’re trying to pedal as it means today.
You’re going to lose this argument, so best you just stop now. Seeing as a meme with a picture of bacon completely destroys your entire argument, not sure why you think persisting in being flat out wrong is a good course of action.
Not at all what I did, but if it makes you feel better…
no, you’re pretty far from center homie. Nothing wrong with that, why not own it?
lmao. Worst rebuttal of all time.
You’re beyond wrong on this lol. Try reading why the FF’s said themselves.
I would say Indian Territory was definitely part of the U.S., and Indians were subject to U.S. law(if an Indian left the reservation and killed someone, would that not be prosecuted?). I certainly may be incorrect, though.
ActivitiesGuy., someday we must have an honest sit down discussion about where I stand on the various issues and whether or not I am actually as right wing… But alas every time I engage you run away…So…bye for now.
Actually, yes. The best argument for anti-defense folks is that the 2nd Amendment did not prohibit states from regulating arms, but, alas, those same folks have argued states nearly powerless.
I believe (could be wrong) that technically, Indian land is seen as “foreign land” in the same way that embassies are “foreign land.” Since they’re not/weren’t subject to US law while on “foreign land” they required an additional amendment to be automatically given citizenship. The foreign land aspect is what separates anchor babies from Native Americans, as Native American’s are technically born on foreign land.
I think what is “conservative” today is different than what is “conservative” in the past. In 1845 being “conservative” would be in line with keeping slavery. And Contemporary American Conservatives have more in common with Classically Liberal people in some areas than Contemporary American Liberals.
But I agree that Reagan/Clinton era democrats were a lot more center/center-right than today’s “leadership”. Obama was ultra left, who governed generally from the center. (Note I said generally.) With wild eyed moon bats like Sanders and Warren taking over party leadership right now… lmao The democrats are swiftly shifting left.
Hold on, let me find an OP-ED to prove my point, lol.
