Trump: The First 100 Days

I gave you an answer in good faith, and you said you’d reciprocate - let’s have an answer. Time’s wasting.

What are the different circumstances that would lead to immigrants coming to America, and how do those circumstances lead to a different American?

Coming to America “for a better life” vs. “coming to America so you don’t have your head blown off” are two different things. Although, of course, leaving a war zone is going to make for a better life, yes i understand this…

The former may* lead to a more appreciative citizen while the latter may* lead to an unappreciative entitled citizen who is not willing to assimilate and play along with American society, as if circumstances moreso “forced” them to come to America…“this ain’t my
Country, I just live here”

It’s the difference, to me, between an ambitious go-getter and a slow and reactive person who waits for things to happen to them before they make a move.

I only had this thought recently because I thought of my personality and where it came from, and how my great grand parents came to america in the early 1900s and probably had similar ways of thinking. I’m always looking for ways to improve my life and ways to get ahead. The same can’t be said for a lot of other white/assimilated people my age that I meet.

My ancestors in this country date back to the 1700s and I have forbears that fought in the Revolutionary War. You and I have many differences, one of which is I am an American, and you’re not.

But the purported difference you point out is incorrect - given my lineage here in the country your existence continues to pollute, I care deepy about the future of my country and the generations that come after me, and so part of that is preserving the ancient freedoms on which this country in built - religious freedom being one of them.

There is no your America to be had in the future. Get used to it.

Supporting Islamic immigration to America is untenable position which is why It’s not surprising you want to move on.

Quote or rewrite your question you want me to answer.

Did you know that 1st and 2nd generation immigrants are more prone to commit terror/radicalism than their parents?

No, it isn’t - and I explained why. We have millions of Muslims in America right now and none of the fears you worry about have materialized. Why? The Muslims who are here and are coming here are not trying to reinstall the ideologies and structures of the societies they left. Even if they grow through the birth rates you say they will, they arent currently converting our Western democratic liberalism into something foreign now, so assuming they will in the future is unfounded.

Far from it, they want to escape those societies by immigrating, so they have no motivation to reinstall them.

All you, @therajraj.

. You originally and without elaboration claimed your only issue with raj…[/quote]

You will literally NEVER find this quote, but I hear ya.

I do like your posts, man, and I’m hopeful that (and no offense intended) we’ve got better things to do this weekend than the past day’s back and forth.

You a GSW fan by any chance?

Not off hand, but as i think about it it sounds right. The orlando killer was born in nj, for one.

Nope. It’s # 12. Do a simple Google search before you spout off such nonsense.

The Europeans thought the same.

There’s nothing magical about the US. How Muslims behave in Germany, France, Sweden will be replicated here once the size of the population gets large enough

First off the obvious canard: anyone who advocates violence does not share my political beliefs

Throughout the decades minorities have played the identity politics game. Whites are no different than any other racial group and with time and incentive will play it as well. Trump to some degree is an expression of the beginning of this.

I believe the cause of right wing white male shooters is a function of

  1. dwindling influence of whites as their population shrinks

  2. racist affirmative action and anti-discrimination laws that displace white men (and now Asian men as well) at the lower end of the spectrum.

My solution to fighting white terrorism would be a moratorium on immigration to actively maintain the white majority as it has been for the country’s whole existence. A large ethnic majority is a component of any stable country not just the US. Essentially deincentivize whites from playing the identity politics game, because frankly if whites play this game in full, we minorities will lose and lose hard. This is why I see Trump as peaceful change now to thwart violent change later. As someone else on this forum said - if white supremacy was actually a thing in this country, every major city would be a blood bath. I want to avoid a blood bath.

The other aspect: eliminate anti-discrimination and affirmative action laws. I don’t condone white shooters actions, but it should come as no surprise that we see such behaviour when many US institutions are actively working against them through these laws. Now that these laws are effecting Asians do not be surprised if Asian shooters begin cropping up.

We aren’t Europe, and as usual, you’re dead wrong about the US.

If you go to Chinatown in the US, UK or Canada, strange how their all eerily similar. It’s like people bring their culture to whatever land they immigrate to.

In other words, you’re suggesting we should ‘solve’ white terrorism by capitulating to it. Is it your opinion that, in general, capitulation/appeasement should be the go-to solution re all terrorism?

I would bet my left and center nuts that this began with “my only real issue with raj’s posts is…” But in recognition of the immense wisdom of your second paragraph – I’m absolutely sure we both have better things to do this weekend – I’m very happy to drop it. I like your posts too. You used to have a cartoon avi, right? Prolly wouldn’t have come in so hot so early if I’d known you were a regular. But anyway.

Nominally, and unfortunately, I’m a fan of the New York Knickerbockers. But really of the sports I follow the NBA is the most casual. Unlike with football & soccer, I don’t even start watching religiously until the playoffs.

Nevertheless, when it comes to the Warriors, my feelings are probably best summed up like this:

So, it’s not their fault, it’s the confluence of unjust and unfair external factors that we need to correct so they’ll stop being so angry. And the way to do it is to limit non-whites into the country to boost white self-esteem.

Hilarious. And pitiful.

Muslims commit violence because it’s who they are and who they always will be, even generations from now - white right-wing ethno-nationalists commit violence because the existence of a multiracial society commandeers their judgment making them do it, and in reality, the perpetrators are really the victims.

You really are racist scum. Thanks for playing and reinforcing what we already knew.

Nowhere did I say it’s “not their fault” just that incentives shape peoples decisions.

Remember how I said bombing muslims abroad incentivizes muslims to commit terror acts in America? Same deal different cause

Yes, yes - @therajraj says that if you want to prevent white nationalist terrorism, give the white nationalists what they want.
