Trump: The First 100 Days

I suppose you’re upset because there’s actually a good chance I’m right.

How come we aren’t talking about the setting up of safe zones in the middle east initiated by Trump?

Because you posted a dumb picture thinking it was symbolic, when its just a dumb picture. Probably would make a good alt-right hyping meme though.

Do you have any idea of what safe zones in the middle east could potentially mean?

Because nobody actually cares. It’s like at work when someone comes up with a solution. It doesn’t matter that they did. What matters is that you didn’t. Thats why he’s a dick anyways.

It’s just how it is. Human nature/mental gymnastics.

WaPo reporting that Secretary Mattis wasn’t consulted on Trump’s immigration EO and that he isn’t happy. Couple that with the fact that Mattis - a man with as much gravitas as any human alive on NatSec matters - was shut out in favor of Bannon, who penned the order, and now will have to take orders from Bannon given his new (inexplicable) role at NSC, I’d love to be a fly on the wall when these two meet soon in a cabinet meeting.

Importantly, this tells us Trump trusts the alt-right publisher of a bigoted magazine more than one of America’s most celebrated soldiers on NatSec issues. Absurd.

What’s the over-under on how long it takes Mattis to quit this clown show?

I wonder what leverage Trump used over the Saudi King in order to get them to support safe zones?

It was probably agreed to with little expectation of anything happening, it seems unlikely that we would be able to assist (lending ground troops/helping to enforce a no fly zone with our Air Force) without inadvertantly stepping on Russia’s toes which the Saudis understand President Trump (at this time) seems unwilling to do. These safe zones would need to be protected from all forces, and the proposal of safe zones have been met with luke warm support at best by other nations in the area, although Turkey seems receptive. It seems highly likely that Russia or Russian backed entitites would test a no-fly zone to test the U.S. resolve in defending any safe zone that we helped set up and secure.

Not at all, in fact in the most liberal cities the only wrong doings will be the police officers trying to stop them by using excessive force. And by excessive I mean basically anything that stops them from rioting, I mean peacefully protesting.

He had to promise that when nobody is looking the Saudis can kill them.

Heh, yes, I know Marines hate being labeled soldier - when I say it for Mattis though, I am going for the point that he’s as good as it gets across all of the armed forces, not simply within the Marine Corps itself.

I hereby apologize for the macroaggression.

So, it seems Trump is just going to fire anyone that disagrees with him. Should be interesting to see how that plays out.

That’s what happens when someone new is in charge. They all do that

Including the joint chiefs? That is an absurd tu quoque.

The AG being removed is appropriate house cleaning. Bannon being escalated to the position he has been granted is absurd.

As an aside, the acting AG was specifically requested by the Trump transition team to serve in that capacity. In other words, Trump/his team hand-picked her for the job of acting AG.

The point being, she wasn’t some Obama-admin dead-ender who exploited a loophole (ie, some sort of automatic promotion) to gum up the works.

Yes, but an acting AG refusing to defend government policy is an untenable position. Ergo, the house-cleaning is appropriate from then on.
