Trump has not stopped campaigning since winning the White House. And he has done so in states that he knows he needs to win again. States like Wisconsin, PA. FLA. Ohio.
If the left keeps banging the Russia drum not only will they lose seats in the mid-terms but they could very well lose to Donald Trump twice.

If the left loses it will not be because of the Russia drum. They are a horribly misguided party right now unsure of what their agenda is and who leads it. Russia hasn’t helped Trump and he has record low approval ratings. It is very unlikely to see that turn around given his demeanor. I don’t see how he recovers to a point where most Americans approve of him. He is too polarizing and has been too damaging to so many people for that.
The mid terms favor Republicans this time around we have known that for a while. Republicans have been winning in spite of Trump not because of him. You will notice Republicans distance themselves from him like they have already while running.
Trump may very well win again but this doesn’t say much about him. He had historically low approval ratings and luckily for him the Democrats ran the one person who could compete with him in disdain.
It doesn’t seem as if the left is serious about rebranding themselves. Until they get on the same page I would think they will continue to lose. I certainly wouldn’t think Democrat losses means people like Trump. If they did he wouldn’t have such low approval ratings. He has a base of support that will never waver so he may not go too low but his ceiling is undoubtedly not high.
